SBS18 - Lilac

Third and final one for today kills two birds with one stone. The SBS18 challenge is 'Lilac' and for Papertake Weekly it's a 'Katharina Sketch'. Phew, where has the time gone, no wonder my tummy is rumbling. No more posts now until around 7th July. Be good everyone!

Oh La La Creations - Remember When

'Remember When' from Oh La La Creations was a fantastic card to do and although Kawita wasn't around in 1930 when this image dates from the fact that she's going to be 30 ties in. That's my thought and I'm sticking with it!

Daring Cardmakers - Just A Quick One

I tidied all my craft stuff away last night as today I was going to do all the things I didn't get done yesterday - pack my case, ironing etc. The phone rang at 10 this morning and a friend of mine asked if I could do three cards for her - for tonight - as she forgot I was going away tomorrow! Well, I thought, if I'm making cards then I'm doing them to fit challenges, so here we go. This card was inspired by Daisy and fits the Daring Cardmakers challenge of 'Just a Quick One'. In fact the three cards all had to be pretty quick today.

Rainbow Lady - A Star is Born

Dawn, the Guest Designer for Rainbow Lady this week posed the challenge of 'A Star is Born' - this one was right up my street. A little star was born to my son-in-laws brother and his wife. Mum went into hospital at lunch time, Ava was born at tea time and Mum was back home for supper!!!

Cute Card Thursday - Birthday Card

Wow, I wish all challenges were this easy! Cute Card Thursday had 'Birthday Card' for their subject this week and I had to make one for my very bestest friend. I wonder what they will have up their sleeve for their next challenge - bet it will be a real toughie.

Oh! I've Been Thrice Tagged

I've never been tagged before but today it happened. I've been well and truly tagged by three people, Ann, Beryl and Sue. Now to answer the questions.
Ten Years Ago
I was doing housewifely things and working. I was also studying for a Post Grad Degree in Human Resource Management but the highlight of life was our three holidays a year to somewhere hot and sunny. I hadn't even thought about crafting then!
Five Thing on Today's To Do List
1 : Make a birthday card for my very bestest friend
2 : Pack my case as I'm off on Wednesday to the UK for a week
3 : Download some new music onto my phone for the plane
4 : Shhh ...... ironing
5 : Spend some time with hubby when (no, I think that will be if) all the other chores are done!
Snacks I Enjoy
Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!
Things I Would Do if I were a Millionaire
To be honest, I wouldn't know where to start. I'd just like to make sure my husband and I and our family were comfortably off and never have to think about money again ...... I have a feeling that is only a dream though!
Places I Have Lived
Perth (Scotland as opposed to Oz), Kinross and Spain
The 5 I'm Tagging - Edna : Daisy : Nikki : Lorraine : Annie
Like my taggers said, I make no apologies for tagging the five people I have chosen as every one of them produces outstanding work and if my tagging draws attention to them then my tags will not have been in vain.

Joanna Sheen - Sunshine & Flowers

This is another first - a challenge from Joanna Sheen called 'Sunshine & Flowers'. I'm going to need more time in the day to get all these new challenges fitted in. This one is a must though.

Rainbow Lady - Board

Wow, this challenge from Rainbow Lady was certainly different as it involved using 'Board'! I have used a piece of cardboard to do triple (+) embossing and stamped it with a Rennie Mackintosh type stamp.

Penny Black - 1st Penny Black Stamp

This card was made for the very first Penny Black challenge and was called '1st Penny Black Stamp'. This is the first one I ever got and now that I've joined this challenge blog I might actually get around to using the others I have too.

Stamping Caz Blog Candy

Stamping Caz is giving away some great blog candy images. Click here to see the goodies and join in.

Cute Card Thursday - 3 Different Embellishments

I didn't think I'd have time to do any challenges this week as I've got my son and his girlfriend on holiday with me but they decided to have a day in Valencia at Oceanografic. I've already been there so passed on the trip and spent some time crafting instead. The Cute Card Thursday challenge was to make something with 3 different types of embellies on it - not a problem cos I love using embellishments of all types.

Cuddly Buddly ATC - Flight

'Flight' was the subject of the Cuddly Buddly ATC challenge this time. I absolutely loved doing this one as there were so many wonderful images to choose from. Decoupaged this one and added some glitter and gems.

Tilda & Co - No Card

When the Tilda & Co challenge was published this week and the subject was 'No Card' I couldn't for the life of me think what I could make that didn't involve cards but at last I thought of a calendar. This Tilda is also a favourite of mine as I think she has 'attitude'! It's certainly something different and I might make a few of these for Christmas.
