Cupcake Craft - Christmas

Much happier with this card for Cupcake Craft 'Christmas' challenge. It's nice and simple, I like simple! Thanks go to Nikki for the inspiration. x
Materials :
Aperture cut with Nestabilities and backed with acetate
Image & BP - Eleanor from Winter Princesses range by Lili of the Valley
Ribbon & Peeloffs from my stash

Ooh La La Creations meets Papertake

Now that I have uploaded this card I'm not sure I like it, I'd certainly not put it down as one of my best! I have completed two challenges in one, Ooh La La Creations 'Wings' and Papertake 'Katharina's Sketch #12'. There are quite a few sketches this week so I might get more designs done 'two for the price of one'.
Materials :
Image and BP - Ooh La La Creations CD named Kiddiwinks
Nestabilities
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder 'Swirls'
Button, Peeloffs, ribbon from my stash

Tilda & Co - #38 Sketch

This is the last one for tonight, big zzzz's are needed. Yet another Christmas card, this one for a 'Sketch' from Tilda & Co.
Materials :
BP - Autumn Leaves Vellum from the Elegance range by Kanban
Stamp - Tilda with Wreath by Magnolia
Oval & Edging - Sizzix
Ribbon, Peeloffs and BP for oval & edging from my stash
I have used watercolour pencils and my trusty Koi waterbrush to colour the main picture. I have glittered her pom pom, hat, wings and wrists using Deco Art Glamour Dust. On the wreath I used Sakura Glaze #822 and Vintage Christmas Flowersoft (but I don't think the picture does the flowersoft justice). .... and I'll let you into a little secret! When I had finished the card I realised I had the fold at the bottom of the card instead of the top. Thankfully I had used photo glue to stick Tilda on so I'm off now to turn her up the other way and do likewise with the greeting .... told you I needed big zzzz's!

Lots to Do - Vintage

I've a commission to do for 12 Christmas cards so I thought I'd do one for the Lots to Do challenge of 'Vintage'. Now that I've finished it I'm not sure that it's Christmassy enough!

Materials :
Topper and BP - Ooh La La Creations CD 'Passion for Fashion'
Black Pearls - Joanna Sheen
Peeloff and Ribbon from stash

Spiral Whisper - Flourishes

The theme from Spiral Whisper this week is 'Flourishes'. The challenge came just at the right time as I've just received my latest dies from Cuttlebug!

Materials :
Stamp - Little Gem with Flowers from Spiral Whisper
Flourishes - Cuttlebug
Ribbon and BP from stash

Lili of the Valley - Welcome

I was really excited when my husband came home from the UK on Thursday with my LOV order in the stash case! Unfortunately it's taken me until today to have time to do something with the beautiful images. This card is for the first LOV challenge aptly named 'Welcome'. It shows Miki spreading his arms for a big hug to welcome everyone to the new blog.

Ooh La La Creations - Black, White + 1

This card was made for Ooh La La Creations challenge of 'Black, White +1'. I'm making Christmas cards at the moment for a commission so thought I'd have a go using this design. I'm not sure about the colour scheme as it's not colours I'd normally use for Christmas but I think it will pass muster. Isn't that what the challenges are all about anyway, making you think outside your very comfortable box? This card opens on the diagonal and is held together by ribbon.

Spiral Whisper - Cold Winter

I've managed to combine 2 challenges in 1 this time. They are the Spiral Whisper challenge of 'Cold Winter' and Lots to Do challenge which is 'Red & White'. I HAD to buy some Spiral Whisper stamps so that I could take part in their challenges - good excuse eh!

Rainbow Lady - Sketch

Beryl is the guest designer this week for Rainbow Lady. The challenge Beryl has posed is a sketch which made me get my thinking cap on. I actually turned the sketch round for the card I made so I hope this is acceptable. This is the first card I've made for a few days as I have put my back out of sync and have been unable to do very much. Thankfully my daughter and her family just live across the road so they've been able to help me - feel like a right old crock this week but thankfully it's on the mend ...... slowly!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Christmas is Coming

This challenge of 'Christmas is Coming' from A Spoon Full of Sugar came just at the right time. My card making class resumes on Thursday 18th and I was wondering what cards to make. I have decided to do an advent calendar and this Christmas card. As you will see it's pretty simple but effective I think. Hope you like it and thanks for visiting.

Dotties World - Going for a Song

This is my card for Dotties World 'Going for a Song' challenge. I have printed the coloured version of Puddle Love straight onto vellum. The song I chose to go with this is 'Bus Stop' by the Hollies. I thought it was rather appropriate as love blossomed under an umbrella!

Tilda & Co - Chocolate Delight

Wow, I'm on a roll tonight so am keeping going! Hope it lasts. This card was made for the Tilda & Co challenge called 'Chocolate Delight'. I was going to use backing paper covered in delicious chocolates but couldn't bring myself to cut into it so came up with this idea instead.

Cupcake Craft - Cupcake

What a great challenge. It is on the Cupcake Craft challenge blog and the title is 'Cupcake'. This little girl is having a picnic and is about to eat a yummy cupcake.

Joanna Sheen - Books

Another one today - do you think I'm on a roll already? This challenge from Joanna Sheen is called 'Books'. Inspriation came from The Last Lighthouse Keeper by Alan Titchmarsh. Even the verse is appropriate as the book is all about the feelings, hopes and dreams of a lighthouse keeper after he is made redundant due to the lighthouse being automated.

Arty Girlz - Home Inspiration

I can't believe I've actually done a challenge! It's been months since I gave my creative juices a workout so I thought I'd try to kick start my mojo again. The weather has cooled down slightly and it's now more bearable for crafting. This challenge was set by Arty Girls with the theme of 'Home Inspiration'. I have a Charles Rennie Mackintosh vase which I cherish as I love his work and this is what gave me the inspiration to create my card. It's great to be back!

I'm Back

I'm back online again after our house move. It has been a frustrating time with Telefonica but we got there in the end! I still have my grandaughter staying a fair bit of the time as school hasn't gone back yet but one of these bright days I'm going to get stuck into the challenges again. My brain is needing a workout.

Hope you've all had a great summer.
