I still might not be around much over the next few days again as my daughter and granddaughter who were staying with us last week on holiday are now stuck here in Spain due to the disruption caused by the Icelandic volcano.  It's amazing the havoc it's caused to travellers throughout the world.  Luckily my husband and I are driving back to the UK at the end of the week for a 10 day break and were already booked on the Eurotunnel for Saturday so it looks as if we'll have two extra passengers!  I'll pop on and off as I can and I do apologise to my fellow bloggers for not commenting on their blogs.

New Challenge Blog

Spread the word, next week sees the start of a brand new challenge blog - one especially for those who like to use CDs, be it for the papers, images or the full monty!!

The new blog is called The CD Sunday Challenge Blog and I'm proud to say I'm on the design team along with Chrissie, Cynthia, Doreen, Jenny, Tess and Wendy.  Wendy has been doing a CD Sunday spot on her personal blog for ages and decided to take it one step further and invite other bloggers to join her.

The challenges start next Sunday, 18 April, and will run weekly. The rules are few and far between and are listed on the sidebar of the blog.  The Design Team are looking forward to meeting our new challengers when we launch next week.  See you then!

I drew the sun freehand.  I used #22 Marvy pen to colour the sun and ran the pen over the stamps so that it was the same colour.  Unfortunately the sentiment doesn't show up so well on the photograph as it does irl.   As I coloured this image a few days ago I had put my pens away before taking a note of the colours I used, tut, tut, must do better!

When I had finished the first card I wasn't sure if the rose was overwhelming the image as it is quite big so I took it off and put on the double flower shown on the second card - which do you think is best?

Please forgive me Pink Ellies team as I know I'm pushing the boundaries of 'Nature' with this baby card, but what better gift is there in life than Mother Nature's special bundle of joy.  This card is for the daughter & her partner of dear friends of mine who have just been been given their precious first grandchild, and it doesn't take a genius to work out that it's a little boy.  Congratulations to them all!
