More Angels ...

As promised yesterday here are the two little angels that were sitting on my craft desk drying when I posted the first one.  Now that I've got into the swing of it they are really easy to make and as there is such a wonderful choice of papers, each one is different.

For the purple angel I've used a Craft Creations paper and glittered all the swirls with Stickles Star Dust.  I've cut the bottom of her dress and sleeves using my wavy pinking scissors.  The other angel I've used freebie paper by Nancy Watt.  I cut the edge of the dress and sleeves using Seagull paper edger scissors by Fiskar and popped gems on that I got from Crafty Feeling.

The housework fairy has either flown off to somewhere warmer or is on strike, so I suppose I'd better go and do something in that vein.  I've just had a text from my friend asking if I'd like to go lunching and shopping tomorrow, so the answer being yes, I'll need to do boring things today.

Hugs
Anne

I've Been Playing ...

While hopping around I came across a couple of blogs with the most beautiful hand crafted angels.  One was an angel made from a template but using a Christmas Tilda as the upper body and the lady who had created it made the most fantastic job but when I tried to emulate her talent ... it didn't work!!!  The angels on the other blog were made completely from a template with a small bauble for the head so that you could hang it up.

I've had a few false starts but this is the first one I'm happy to let anyone see!  Unfortunately the camera makes the ribbon look totally wrong but irl it's a perfect match.  I've another couple drying on my craft desk and I may let you see them tomorrow.

If you're interested in giving these angels a try you'll find the template here.

Bits of News

Hi folks!  The road outside had been cleared - first time in a week so I don't feel like a prisoner any more.  Perhaps we'll be able to get the cars out of the drive and actually get somewhere on 4 wheels.  It hasn't affected me so much but poor hubby, he's had to walk to work, taking over an hour each way.  Anyway, things are looking up and there's actually a thaw on.  I took this picture earlier this morning

doesn't the sky look as though it could almost be summer - until you see what's underneath the blue bits!

I have had the honour of being asked to join another design team.  I am so lucky at the moment that people seem to like what I'm doing.  It does give you the incentive to carry on.  This time I have been asked to join One Stitch At A Time and I'll be showing you my first DT design with them on 12 December.  Unfortunately I don't have my DT badge as yet for my blog but it will be there in the fullness of time.

Tomorrow is the 100th challenge at The Crafty Pad so will you please pop along and find out what the challenge is and also play along with some of the fun that's organised to celebrate this event.  Here is a sneaky peek of my design.  Ha Ha, you'll need to wait till tomorrow to see the full shebang!

Speak to you again soon.
