Slugs n Snails

Hi folks!  After the lovely day yesterday the weather's changed completely and it's absolutely pouring rain.  Thankfully Mr C and I got the garden tidied up yesterday and it's looking fine again.  We have a big garden as we live on a corner plot so it looks even worse if it's untidy.

Because it's such an awful day I'm hoping to spend a little time in the messy craftroom.  My granddaughter isn't using it as a bedroom just now as she's on holiday with her friend and family in York.  She's been having a great time but is looking forward to coming home on Friday.

Must go and get out of my pjs and have my shower.

This card is another one I've made from magazine freebies.

Hugs

Wellington

Hi peeps.  Hope you are all well.  We have a much better day here and I'm hoping it stays for Mr C and I to get out into the garden for a while.  The rain is making the grass and weeds grow at break-neck speed and we just can't keep up!

My card today has been made for a while but I've just never got around to showing it.  I'm trying to get my stock built up for a sale in September but I'm not doing very well :)

Hope you have a good day.

Funny!

Hi! I'm here again with my card for the Christmas Card Club.  The theme this fortnight was chosen by Sue and she's asked us to make a humorous card.

I'm about to go and rescue my washing.  I hung bedding out about an hour ago and there was blue sky, sunshine and a fine wind ... now it's raining ... grrrrrrrrrrr!

Cupcake - DT

Morning folks!  I didn't have time to get my DT card for the Cupcake Craftroom ready for challenge day on the 1st but I got it done in time for the midway reminder.

The challenge this month is Layers and I've certainly got plenty on my design!  The DT got to play with Mandy's latest collection called Flourishes.  The colours and designs are stunning.

Pop over to the Cupcake Craftroom Blog and see the other DT members inspiration.  If you want to take part in the challenge you still have another couple of weeks to create your design and you might be the lucky winner of a collection of your choice from Mandy.

Final Choice

Hi peeps!  It's dry here this morning with a little blue sky ... wonder how long it will last?  It was so nice to wake up this morning and see some sunshine, it certainly makes you feel better.

Do you remember a while ago I made samples for our friends' golden wedding invitations?  Well here is the final product.  I actually had them all done and dusted before we went to Spain in March but haven't got around to posting this before now.  It won't be long till the big occasion and Mr C and I are looking forward to spending a week with them and attending the function.

Off now to phone my friend to see if we're meeting up.  I'll need to use the landline (there's a novelty these days) as I can't use my mobile, we are both on O2 and it's caput at the moment ... grr.

Have a good day.

Time!

Hi!  I don't know where today has disappeared to and I haven't time for a make so here is one I made earlier!  It was a lovely morning and I managed to get some of my plants potted out but it's reverted back to the usual summer weather ... rain!

Hope none of my blogging friends are flooded out.  Thinking of you all.

OLL - DT

Hi!  Hope you are all well this morning.  Don't have much on the agenda today but will maybe do some crafting for a while this afternoon.  Daughter and I did housework yesterday there's no ironing apart from what's on the airer ... what a lovely feeling!

This card is for the Ooh La La Creations challenge and has the theme of Whiskers.  Pop over to the OLL Challenge Blog and check out the DT cards, some wonderful inspiration there.

O Christmas Tree

Sunday once again and it's time for Sundays with Santa on Facebook.  Another week has whizzed round and I can't say that it feels like summer.  The rain has been non-stop and the place is saturated.  Maybe next week it will be better!

The challenge this week was Favourite Things and my favs are ribbon and card candi.  Unfortunately I had to take this piccie in a poor light and the ribbon doesn't show up to well.

It's going to be a housework day today so best get a wriggle on.  Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

New CD!

Howdy all my blogging friends!  What a gorgeous day, it's dry AND warm AND sunny!  Don't know how long it will last if the forecast is anything to go by but I'm enjoying it for now.

Mr Postie brought me a little parcel this morning, the new Crafters Companion CD called Mulberry Wood.  It's a Christmas one and I just love the artwork.  I've got peace just now, Mr C is asleep as he's on nightshift, daughter is at work and granddaughter is in town so I thought I'd have a sneaky 5 minutes crafting before getting the iron out then make macaroni cheese for tea.  I'm playing catch up as this card is for last week's Sunday with Santa challenge.

Hope you all have some sunshine to enjoy today.

More Freebies

Morning one and all.  We had great weather here yesterday ... it was dry all day.  That's a first for a long time!  It's back to normal again today though, hissing rain!  My friend and I are meeting her sister in Dundee today and are off to the Bingo this afternoon!  We do that a couple of times a year and as today's double prize money we thought we'd give it a go.  We won £5 between us the last time so we might get £10 this time.  Of course lunch before and a cuppa afterwards is obligatory.

I'm feeling sorry for all the folk going to T in the Park this weekend.  It's only about 25 minutes from where we live and the ground will be saturated before they even start.  In fact my daughter said she read somewhere that they've already put the main stage up and it's sinking because of the muddy conditions.  Personally I couldn't think of anything worse but lots of people will have spent a fortune to camp all weekend.

I'm also hoping that it will be drier for the next fortnight as my granddaughter is going to York with her friend and her Mum & Dad in their caravan.  She's looking forward to it as she loves York but everywhere is miserable if it's raining.  The caravan park has a swimming pool though so that will give them something to do if it's really bad weather.

Anyway, enough of my rambling.  It's time I got into the shower and ready as we're on the Megabus as 1045.

Keep dry and safe.
Hugs

Blue Santa

Another Sunday and today I've got a card for the fortnightly Christmas Card Club.  It was the turn of Chris to choose the theme and she decided on Blue Santa.  Unfortunately the picture I chose doesn't show up too well on the computer but I can assure you that Santa is dressed in blue ... honest!

My card for Sundays with Santa is still in my head but hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to get it done so I don't fall behind again.  I'm am behind with my DT card for the Cupcake Craftroom though, I'd better watch out or I'll be getting the sack!

Mr C and I had a wonderful time at the BBQ yesterday.  There were one or two little showers but between a couple of gazeboes and the conservatory we all managed to keep dry.  There was lots of fabby food, burgers, sausages, chicken and steaks came off the barbie and there was also a table laden with every type of salad you could think of.  For afters there was fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries with meringue, ice cream and cream or there was trifle.  Very enjoyable and because it was the weekend - no calories!

Hope you've all had a great day.  I'm just off to bed shortly as it was a late night last night and I'm up early in the morning as I've to go for a hearing test.  Will keep you posted on that one!

Hugs
