Awww, Sweet!

Hello!
Another miserable day but I've been out in the big wide world again ... and survived!!!  I had to take my granddaughter to the orthodontist.  She's in the throws of getting railtracks and it seems to be going on forever and she's not even had them fitted yet.  Not to worry, maybe next time.

Once I'm finished this I'm off downstairs to get the log burner going and make something to eat.  I'm busy knitting matinee jackets for my friend whose daughter is expecting twins in a couple of months so it's two of everything!  Loving it though.

I can't believe that it's the end of January already.  At least February is a short month and then in March Mr C and I are off to Spain for three weeks to catch up with our friends over there.  Can't wait to feel some warmth on our backs and perhaps see some sunshine.

Hope this finds you well.
Big hugs
Anne x

These boots ...

... are made for walking!  I found the image of the boots while I was rooting around in the cupboard for something else and a design just seemed to talk to me.  That's most unusual because I usually hate making man cards but I found this one quite easy.

I'm not up to much today, having a lazy day after being out and about yesterday.  This is Mr C's last day off, he's back to work for the next 7 days.  Our daughter is back to work tomorrow after her lurgy.  She's only doing two half days and then back full time on Monday.  What a time she's had of it but NHS24 and the paramedics were great and got her sorted out at home so she didn't have to be admitted to hospital.  They didn't want her in hospital cos she had the vomiting bug!

Hope you are all well and if you're under the weather, feet up, stay warm and keep up the fluids.
Hugs

Pink!

Hello peeps!
What another nasty day in my little corner of the world.  Last week it was snow, this week it's rain. Why oh why can't it be sun!!!

Mr C and I were out for lunch with friends.  It was lovely seeing them but I was tired when we got home, mostly because I'm so choked up with catarrh that I'm almost completely deaf and it was a real struggle to keep up with the conversation.  I do hope that it clears very soon cos I'm fed up with this lurgy now and I'm sure you're fed up hearing about it.

I have managed to make another card today and so far am not missing any of the things I sold when I decided I was giving up.  I'm very lucky to have so many downloads that I'm not really wanting for anything ... so far, but I've no doubt some things will fall into a shopping basket somewhere along the line!

Keep cosy.

Flutterby Butterfly

Hi!
Another day in paradise - NOT.  It's pouring rain here but at least it's getting rid of the mountains of snow on either side of the road and we can actually see grass in our garden again.  I just hope there's not too much in the way of flooding now that the rains have come.

I was out yesterday for the first time in over 2 weeks as our whole family have had the lurgy.  It was great getting some fresh air and finding that there are other people out there but I have to say, I'm soooo tired today.  Guess I'm just not quite better yet but thankfully I'm better enough to make a card so here it is.

Have a good day!
Hugs

No Patterned Paper

Hi folks!
I've done it, I've made my first card in ages and ages.  It's for the Christmas Card Club which has allowed me back to the fold after my 6 month sabatical!  Lucky me too as it was no patterned paper which to me spells Clean & Simple, just my style!

Please excuse the quality of the photograph.  Apart from the fact it's night light, I bought myself a new light tent which I need to play about with a bit more but since I'd actually made a card I couldn't wait to show it!

Hope everyone is keeping as well as possible and staying warm and dry.  Lets hope we don't need to think about building an Ark if all the snow melts overnight.
Hugs

Still No Crafting!

Hi peeps!
Still no crafting done, the spirit is willing but the body is just plain lazy after the bug both Mr C and I have had.  Our granddaughter is still with us, turns out she had tonsillitis, but is definitely on the mend again thanks to Mr Penicillin!  She's almost back to her cheeky self and will be going home tomorrow when her Mum is finished work.

Our lovely Postie delivered a parcel this morning - my prize for winning My Fav 5 Christmas Cards.  Wow, thanks so much Debby.  Lots of wonderful goodies and I'm really looking forward to getting started crafting again with these little beauties when my mojo kicks in again.

Hopefully I will be back soon with a crafty delight!!!

Gorgeous Flowers

Hi folks!

I wanted to show you the beautiful bunch of flowers that was delivered to me the other day from one of my best blogging buds.  You know who you are, and I want to say a very, very big thank you to you for being so thoughtful.

My good efforts to blog more and start card making again have been put on hold as both Mr C and I have had 'the lurgy'.  There are so many different bugs going round that I don't now which variation we've had, and although we don't feel ill, we don't feel well either so we've just been lazing about not doing much!  Our granddaughter is with us today as well as she's got it too.

There is a wee bitty snow lying on the ground but as I type, the sun is shining, and it looks quite a decent day out there.  Let's hope it doesn't get any worse.  I do know that some of my blogging buddies are having much worse weather so stay safe and warm everyone.

Hope to be back soon.
Hugs
