Three Little Maids

Good morning one and all!
I say this every day just now ... sunshine and blue skies.  Let's hope it lasts over the weekend.

I saw this image on a challenge blog the other day and I just HAD to have it!  I've paper pieced it using the fabulous new collection from Pink Petticoat.

My daughter and I are meeting my cousin and her daughter for lunch today so I'd better get a wriggle on as I've still to have my shower.

Hope you are all well.
Hugs

PS - How very remiss of me, a senior moment I fear!  The little white dot problem has been solved by one of my lovely followers.  Debbie very kindly offered to send me the dots she had left after completing the project I'm about to begin, organising promarkers.  Thank you Debbie.  It never ceases to amaze me how generous our cyber friends are.  Thanks also to Beryl and Jules who suggested punching them out of bigger labels, I had thought of that but that was a last resort, too much like hard work!!!  Hugs x

sorry for the wonky picture, all is straight in real life!

Celebrate!

Hello!
Wow, another beautiful day.  I'm just home from town and couldn't get what I wanted.  I wanted little round white stickers to put on the ends of my promarkers but there is a distinct lack of stationers here and WH Smith didn't have any.  Will need to pop along to the office supplies warehouse as I've no doubt I'll get them there but it wasn't on my route today!

I got the idea for this card from Pinterest.  There is so much inspiration there that I can't keep up!

*** Male Alert ***

Hello!
What a bonnie morning! Sunshine and blue sky.  You'd think it was summer until you venture outside and it's fffffffreezing.  Mr C and I had a busy afternoon yesterday.  We ended up having a root around a shopping centre and while he was looking at all things electrical I managed a wee while in Hobbycraft.  The only thing I bought was a pack of these lovely scalloped cards but I did get some good ideas!

The saga of Mr C's car continues.  The fault with the electrics appears to be water ingress so he now has to take it to a panel beater to find out where the water is getting in because the windows are steaming up now.  Grrrr, like computers, cars are fine when they are working properly!

Anyway, once the visit to the panel beater is over we are off to our local garden centre as it's seniors' lunch day today so may as well take advantage!

Keep warm and take care.

Much Cuteness

Morning peeps!
Hope you are all well this morning and the weather where you are is not too bad.  Here the sun is shining but the grass is white with frost.  I love those kind of days.

Mr C is having to take his car back to the garage today then we will have to pop down to Dundee to pick up something that I ordered.  I can't tell you what it is just now as it's for my daughter's birthday and she'll see this!

While hopping around the blogs I follow I came across this sketch that the lovely Jules had used and it inspired me to have a go too.  It's ages since I used a Teddy Bea image and I thought this one fitted perfectly.

Take care

I'm back with another card!  I've be busy in the craftroom this afternoon and made quite a few cards for various challenges and if I don't get them posted I'll miss them!

I spotted this image and co-ordinating sentiment on one of the blogs I follow and I just had to have them and make a card with them.  It's very hard to resist when something just jumps out and hits you between the eyes!

I'm just going to post this then get some dinner made so that I can sit down for Dancing on Ice.  Enjoy your evening.

Christmas on Sunday

Hi!
I have two new followers, so welcome to Debbie and Kwilliams.  Nice to have you on board.  It's Sunday again so time for Christmas cards!

I don't know what Mr C and I are going to do today.  A lazy day might be on the cards, that's what Sunday is for.  We'll just do whatever takes our fancy.  Enjoy your day.

The theme at Sunday with Santa on Facebook this week in Snowflakes.  I've cheated a bit cos I've only put one on my card but I think it's quite effective.  I rooted about in my Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads and after trying a few found that Tea Dye was the best match for kraft card.

Paper Piercing

Afternoon one and all!
I had a wonderful day with my Aunt yesterday.  We started off in Stirling as she wanted a bit of food shopping in M&S then went along to Doune Antique Centre for lunch, yummy.  We had a wee look around the antique centre and spent a heap of cash ... in our dreams only!

My daughter and granddaughter are away to Glasgow for the day with their friends and I've just had a text from them ... it's snowing.  It's very cold here but at least the sun is shining.  Not to worry, it doesn't snow in the shopping centre.

Mr C is away out with the dog so I thought, as I've been good this morning and have done all my housework and washing, I could have a play in the craftroom.  I love the Less is More challenge on Saturday so here's my creation for it.  I nearly made a faux pas with this card ... again!  I read what I want to, not what I actually see so I though on first glance it said paper PIECING.  Thankfully, through experience, I read it twice and saw it was pieRcing.

Tic Tac Toe

Morning all!
I hope Mr Blogger behaves and posts this for me. I can't believe another week has whizzed by and it's Friday again.  As usual on a Friday I go to see my Aunt and we'll be off out somewhere in the car.  Unfortunately she's not able to go out on her own any more but is always game for a jaunt when someone is with her.  Goodness knows where we'll end up but there's always lunch somewhere along the line!

Yesterday was one of these days that didn't quite go according to plan and I didn't have time to play in the craftroom but luckily I had a few cards made that I haven't yet shared so this is one of them.

Hope you have a good day whatever you're up to.

Triple Stamping

Hello!
Welcome to my new followers, Pauline, Christine and Carole Ann.  I hope you enjoy my following my creations and I appreciate any comments you leave.

I've seen a few cards around blogland using the technique I've used here. They looked so classy (and difficult) and I'd no idea where to start.  I went onto the Splitcoaststampers website to see if I could find how to do this and, sure enough, there was a tutorial, and when I read it I couldn't believe how simple it was to achieve such a stunning effect.  If you want to try it out, just follow this link.

Sorry this card looks a bit wonky, camera operator error!  It is straight in real life, honest!

Pretty cold and grey here in the East of Scotland but hey 14 sleeps and I'm off to Spain with Mr C for 3 weeks.  Can't wait to get some sunshine and see all the friends we made when we lived there.  I've already started getting stuff looked out that I'm going to take with me.  I won't be taking any craft stuff as I'll be going to card class while I'm there and June will provide me with goodies to make a few bits and pieces.  I started the class and June happily took over when we decided to come home.  I have got my knitting pins looked out though and Mr Postie brought me a lovely parcel of baby wool yesterday so I'm going to be busy again.

That's Mr C on his week off now and his first task is to take his car to the garage.  There's something wrong with the electrics and his dashboard is like Blackpool illuminations at times!

Hope you all have a good day.
Hugs

Time for Tea

Morning friends!
Firstly I'd like to say a very big thank you to all the lovely crafters to take the time to pop into my wee bit of the worldwide web and leave a comment on my blog, it is so much appreciated.

Hope you are all well today.  We had another lovely day of sunshine yesterday although it was chilly.  Snow is forecast for today but time will tell!

It was mid afternoon when I got back home from town yesterday so I put the shopping away and popped into the craft room for a while.  It was far too late in the day to start housework or ironing!!!  Wasn't that a good excuse?

I've a clean and simple card to share today, hope you like it.

Sparkle & Shine

Good morning!
What a beautiful day it was yesterday.  My friend and I had lunch then instead of going home by the motorway, we took the scenic route through the hills and it was stunning.  What a difference a wee bit sun makes.

Today I've a card for Ooh La La Creations with a lovely theme of Sparkle and Shine.  I've added Star Dust Stickles round the image for the sparkle and the hearts and dots are the shine.  When I read the theme I didn't think a wedding card would be appropriate but after a bit of thinking (!) I liked this image and found it worked very well.

Hope you all have a good day whatever you're up to.  I'll get to the bottom of the ironing pile eventually then I need to hop into town.  My new bus pass is sure getting some use!

Sweet Mermaid

Hello!
Well, the start of another week and Mr C and I are on the countdown to our holiday.  We are off on 7 March for three weeks and can't wait to get some sunshine (hopefully!).

I woke early this morning so decided to get up rather than lie in bed playing games on my phone!!!  I've still some ironing to catch up on so I'm off to do that before meeting an old school friend for lunch .  We have a catch up every couple of months and today's the day.  It's a beautiful morning,  very frosty but the sun is up and will have defrosted my car by the time I go out!

This is the last of the cards I made on Saturday night.  I love A Day for Daisies images but haven't used them enough.  This one has been paper pieced and I think she's cute.
Have a good day!

Christmas on Sunday

Morning folks!
Hope you are all well and raring to go.  Whatever you're doing today I hope you enjoy it.  Now that I'm feeling a bit less tired I really must try to tackle the ironing mountain.  It's easy to wash, you just stuff everything in the machine and switch it on, but until someone invents an ironing robot I suppose I'll just have to get on with it and stop complaining!

Here are another two cards I made last night and they're destined for the Christmas box!

Butterflies

Hi peeps!
Oooh, I know, I'm really late tonight!  I've been playing all evening and again have lost all track of time.  Sorry there was no post yesterday but I was out with my aunt and cousin.  That's the first time I've seen them since New Year's day so we'd lots to catch up on.

I was out with my oldest friends today.  I've known the three of them since 1969.  Again it's the first time we've met up this year so you can image how much chatter there was.

I had two surprises today as I won at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge and Fab n Funky.  Wow!

Here's one of the cards I made tonight, hope you like it.  It was inspired by Stephanie of Stamping & Sharing and I'm really pleased how it turned out.  I've been a follower of Stephanie's blog for ages and I really love her style, I just wish I had her talent!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Sunday Christmas cards.

Lovely Break

Morning (just!)
Mr C and I had a lovely break in Inverness.  We arrived on Monday late afternoon so did nothing much but chill and have dinner.  Tuesday saw us out and about all day.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous, we really were so lucky and couldn't have asked for better.  Unfortunately we were home again yesterday.  What a difference a day makes, the weather yesterday was horrendous on the journey home but was still OK in Inverness when we left.  Thankfully we were on the train so didn't have to worry about the weather.

Here are some photos I took while on our mini break.

outside our hotel on the first evening

oooh yummy, pork loin with mustard sauce and onion rings

statue of Faith, Hope & Charity just along from our hotel

the "scenery" on the journey home!

I don't now if I'm going to manage to get anything made and posted today.  I'm just waiting for Mr C to come home from night shift then I'm off into town as I've a few things to get.  It all depends how successful I am as to how long I'll be in town!!!

Take care

Morning everyone!
Up with the lark this morning as Mr C and I are off to Inverness till Wednesday.  I just hope the snow stays away till we get home.  There's nothing in our little neck of the woods today but it's all around!

Hope you all behave until I get back and I'll be looking at your blogs for inspiration.

Christmas on Sunday

Morning!
Oh what a lovely feeling being able to add Christmas cards in the box.  I'm not thinking about sending them as my daughter took all the ones I made last year into her office and sold them all so I'm doing that again this year.  I am trying not to put too many layers on them though as postage is so expensive if you go over the normal rate, and that's bad enough.

The first card I have this morning is for the Christmas Card Club.  The theme - only words - no images - was chosen by Dawn and she made life very easy for me as the die cut was one of the ones that I recently purchased on ebay.  Woopdedoo it was a dream come true!

Elements :
Bottom die - from Susie Sugar ages n ages ago
Front die - Vintage Noel by Tim Holtz
Pearls - The Hobby House
Glitter - Star Dust Stickles

My second card is for Sunday with Santa on Facebook and the theme for this one is Birds.  I rooted around in the pile of Christmas cards we received last year and found one with these cute little robins. A few crafty products have been dropping through the letter box recently and I've used some of them here ... but don't tell Mr C!

Elements :
Image & Ribbon - recycled
Flower - candy I won from Debby (A Scrapjourney)
Sentiment - from Signature Christmas collection by Clearly Besotted
Die - Frames #8 by Crafts Too
Embossing - Swiss Dots by Cuttlebug

I always put inserts in my cards which is one of the jobs I hate so I've made a decision that  I'm doing them as I go along this year ... how sensible is that!  This is the insert I'm going to use for Christmas.

Just A Note

Hi everyone!
Sorry there was no post yesterday.  I was out lunching and shopping with my bestest buddie before she and her dearly beloved hop across the pond for 7 weeks!

It's Saturday again and that means a Less is More challenge.  I really should read things properly before I make up my design, only when I went back to find out the challenge number did I notice it was one layer only so I'd to start again! Not to worry, I've two cards for the box instead of one ... every cloud has a silver lining.

Hope you're having a good Saturday.  See you again tomorrow with my Sunday Christmas cards.

Heart

Hi
Sorry I'm a bit late on the go today.  It's been one of these days that nothing seemed to go as planned!  Not to worry, better late than never.

It's been another nice day here, dry and cold but I notice tonight on the forecast there's snow looming again.  I hope it stays away as Mr C and I are going to Inverness next week for 3 days and I don't want the weather to be bad then.

Here's my card for the day.  I must enlist the help of my son and get these photos sorted out.  The colouring on the card is a lovely blue but it isn't showing up very well on the photo.  My son is a dab hand at photography so I've no doubt, when he has time, he'll give me some instruction!

I decided when I started crafting again I wasn't going to buy dies, punches etc that I was only going to use once or twice then they never see the light of day again so I scoured ebay the other day for die cuts and bought quite a few different ones.  At the moment it seems a better idea to me but you never know ...

I have left this card blank intentionally as it could be used for so many different occasions and I'll stamp whatever sentiment is appropriate when I need it.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.
Hugs

Racing Along

Morning everyone!
What started out as a very wintry morning yesterday was all gone by lunchtime and we had a lovely afternoon, still very cold but so nice to see the sun.  This morning the sun is shining again so I'm off to town to meet my cousin for lunch.  I've a few bits and pieces I must see to so I'll do the lot while I'm there.

I was supposed to be at the hairdresser this morning but unfortunately my girl is still off sick.  She's had the noro virus and it's really taken its toll on her.  There doesn't seem to be anybody in the country who hasn't had something this year ... and it's only February!

I had an afternoon crafting yesterday and made three cards that just popped into my head so I'll use them as and when a challenge fits my theme!!!

Hope you are all OK.
Take care

Love Story

Hi folks!
Brrr, its freezing cold this morning, snowing and blowing a hoolie ... winter's back with a vengeance.  Nowhere better than cozied up in the craftroom.

I'm back in my old stomping ground of Ooh La La Creations today.  I got their latest CD Yesterdays Memories a while ago when couldn't summon up the enthusiasm to craft.  Anyway, at last, it's no longer a virgin CD!  I've interpreted the theme loosely so that I could use this fun image.  Well the kitten loves his sassy owner doesn't he!

Kraft n Kreme

Hi!
Shall I let you into a little secret ... Mr C and I didn't make it for brekkie yesterday.  We were lazy in the morning so we went into town for an hour in the afternoon and had latte and pancakes instead!  Either way it was nice. Non Traditional Colours

Morning one and all!
I've scheduled this post as Mr C and I will probably being going out for brekkie.  Dobbies do a fabulous breakfast, £5.95 for two including toast and tea, which is often what we do on a Sunday morning.

I had quite an afternoon of crafting yesterday and lost all sense of time!  What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon when Mr C (just off nightshift) and the dog are asleep in bed.

I have to say my laptop is slowly dying and once we come back from holiday I'm investing in a new one.  It's done me proud as I've had it almost 8 years and have never had a problem with it.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

Hearts & Dots

Hi folks!
What a lovely sunshiney day.  It does you good to see some sun.  The weather forecast says to make the most of today though as it's back to 'normal' tomorrow!

No card yesterday as I was out with my friend.  We had a lovely day but I was absolutely shattered by the time I came home and was in bed by 9pm.  I had intended to make a card in the evening but it took me all my time to keep my eyes open to watch the soaps (sad I know!)

Nothing stopping me today and as it's Saturday and the beginning of the month it's time for Penny Black.  I love this challenge and here's what I've done for it.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
