Hellooo, I'm Back

Hi everyone!

I'm back from my holiday and hit the ground running!  What a brilliant time we had and the batteries are well and truly recharged.  Although the weather wasn't as fabulous as it could have been (one day of rain!!!) we certainly were lucky and missed all the snow here in not so bonnie Scotland.  We caught up with our Spanish friends and of course there was much chatting, laughing and eating!  It wasn't all R&R as I managed to knit up 7 little cardis for babies that are still to come and a couple for the charity I used to knit for while we lived in Spain.  I also caught up with the ladies at card class.  I used to run it but my friend June took over when we came home and it's still going strong.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to craft since coming home.  I had a day out with my daughter on Thursday as she's on holiday this week.  Yesterday I was out with my Aunt and today I've been out with my friend but hopefully once I've finished this post I'll get some crafting under my belt again.  Mr C is at home tomorrow but while he's working next week I'll need to get some housework done and play catch up with washing and ironing, isn't there always a downside!!!

Anyway, following the news that Google Reader will cease to exist from 1 July I've imported all of my blogs to Bloglovin so I don't miss anything.  By importing your blogs using one of the various apps on the web you too will be able to continue to follow your favourites.  You can follow me by clicking the Bloglovin button on my sidebar.  I'd hate to lose my own personal favourites or any of my lovely followers.  It was really easy to set up and import all the blogs I currently follow.  I also go the app for my Android (iPhone app also available) so that's me sorted.

Au Revoir and Hugs

Morning everyone!

This is my last post before Mr C and I are off on holiday.  I haven't got anything scheduled while I'm away so will be back blogging again on 28 March.  I hope you all have fun crafting and keep out of mischief!

I'm going to get shellac done on my nails today, a present from my daughter for Mothers' Day.  I usually do my nails myself but as this lasts for 3/4 weeks it will save me taking all my nail accoutrements with me.  The burning question now is, what colour do I get?

B is for .....

Hello!

Pretty misty first thing but the sun is now shining although I have read that there are wintry showers forecast for the weekend, woopee we'll miss it!

I watched Broadchurch last night and can't make up my mind if I enjoyed it or not.  Maybe it's just one of these series that takes a couple of episodes to get into. I'll watch it again next week and see what I think.  Luckily the apartment we are going to in Spain has British TV so we don't need to miss anything!  I especially don't want to miss the final of Dancing on Ice.  I was so upset for Gareth last week when he was too ill to carry on.  What a shame getting to that stage and going out the way he did.  I'd like to see Beth winning but I fear it may be Matt.

I'm going to post my card for today then I'm making a start to packing!

Four Legged Friends

Hi my lovelies!

Back from town and all my shopping done.  I've just to do my order with Mr Tesco now so that my daughter and granddaughter will have food to eat while they stay at our house during our hols.  It's easier staying at ours as they have a dog too so two dogs in their flat isn't so good.  We have a garden where the dogs can run making life easier all round.

Anyway, I've made this card for the Ooh La La challenge this fortnight.  As my long-standing followers know I used to run this challenge before I had my crafting melt down.  Now that I'm back in the swing of things I still like to keep in touch as I have ALL the OLL CDs and they are ALL brilliant.

Off to give the dog her tea and make ours.  I'll box Mr C's up and he will take it with him tomorrow as he's on midday to midnight shift till Wednesday.

Enjoy your evening.  I've got knitting to do and some to be sewn up so I'll do that while watching the soaps.  There's also new series starting on ITV at 9pm called Broadchurch that I'm going to watch.  I've seen trailers for it and it looks as though it might be good.

Hi all!

Grey and overcast today ... spring hasn't sprung after all! Into town for me today, I've a few things to do before we head off to the sun (hopefully!)  I was speaking to one of my friends in Spain the other day and they'd had rain, hail, thunder, lightening and, to cap it all, a tornado.  Wow I hope it's better by the end of the week!

Hello Everyone!

I've been working like a wee Trojan this morning so I've allowed myself some playtime in the craftroom!  I've no doubt I'll get a telling off from some of my followers who have been encouraging me to get my case packed but hey, it's only Sunday and we don't go away till Thursday ... plenty time :)

I always try to take part in the Less is More challenge so I've made this simple card for it.  I bought this image as part of a set last week and I love every one of them.  They are so easy to use and I think they're very effective.

Morning peeps!

Sorry I didn't manage to post a card last night, time ran away with me!  By the time my son went home and I got the stuff sorted out to make the cards I ran out of time to get any posted.  I did manage to get three made, this being one of them.

We had a lovely meal yesterday and there was such fun round the table.  I have to say I enjoyed having my son, daughter and granddaughter to myself as it doesn't often happen! 

Only 4 more sleeps till Mr C and I are off on our hols.  Do you think it might be time to get stuff looked out and perhaps the cases out of the loft?  Maybe today ... maybe not!

Busy Bee!

Hello!

How are you all today?  I hope you are feeling perky and if not, hope you feel better soon.  It's not cold today but unfortunately it's not so sunshiney!  Not to worry though, there's no rain and that's always a bonus.

I've had it in my mind for a while to sort out the few promarkers I have.  I saw a wonderful idea the other day while rooting around blogland, someone had made a holder using a CD stand.  Well, I thought, I've got one of these lying around so, let's have a go!  My first stumbling block was no little white dots but as that problem has now been overcome, today was the day.

As you can see, I've not got the largest collection of Promarkers but there's room for plenty more should they fall into my shopping basket.  I'm hoping to take a trip to The Papeterie to catch up with some of my lovely blogging and Facebook friends and also see some demos by Nikki Hall from Polka Doodles.  It's something I've been meaning to do for a while as I am told the shop is to be seen to be believed ... saving pennies!

Hopefully I will be back in the evening with something creative.  There's nothing on TV and Mr C is working so I'm going to play in the craftroom later on.  

This afternoon I'm having a meal with my daughter, granddaughter and son.  Daughter and granddaughter both have their birthday while we are in Spain so this is to compensate although no excuse is necessary!

Spring has Sprung!

Happy Friday morning!

Yes, another day I can say, sunshine and blue skies!  I'm off out with my Aunt today and haven't a clue where to take her.  It's hard finding somewhere different and where it's flat.  No doubt we'll think of somewhere and as long as there's a cafe en route we'll be OK!

Mr C has a 'to do' list today.  I switched on the hoover yesterday and it just blew all the dust around the house .... grrr.  I've tasked him with trying to (a) find out what is wrong and (b) fix it!  It's maybe just as well that I'm going to be out because the air may be blue as well as dusty.

Best get a wriggle on.
