Cards for Men DT

Hi peeps!

This is my second card for Cards for Men DT.  I wasn't getting Mr Mojo to work very well for this one and I have to confess I'm not too happy with it but try as I might it just wouldn't come together the way I'd have liked.  I'll be getting kicked off the DT before I've even got my feet under the table if Mr Mojo doesn't get back to normal!

Off to meet my daughter today for a root round the shops and some lunch.  She's back to work tomorrow so we're taking the chance while we can.

Hope you have a good day.
Hugs

Christmas Card DT

Hello!
Wow, I'm super excited this morning as this is my first post as part of the Christmas Card Challenge DT.  I'm in my element as I love making Christmas cards and don't find it a chore if you make some regularly rather than a frantic session in December!

This year my cards are fairly simple so that Mr Royal Mail doesn't get more money out of me than is necessary!

Our son and DIL are coming for tea tonight so I'm off now to prepare.

Enjoy your day.
Hugs

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!
Wow, what a weird day, one minute it's torrential rain and black as night, the next it's sunny and dry again.  At least it's not cold but not a day to hang the washing out.

I enjoyed lunch with my cousin the other day and my daughter popped along to join us as she's still on holiday till the beginning of next week.  It was nice to have a catch up and hear how the youngsters are getting on at Camp America.

Yesterday, Friday, out with Aunt day.  We had a run to Glasgow and as she stays in Auchterarder it doesn't take long to get there since the new road was built.  We only visited the shops in Buchanan Galleries.  There were lots of sales on and my Aunt bought a jacket but unfortunately it was full price ... typical!

I'm doing a bit of catch-up today as Mr C and I are off Thursday-Tuesday to visit friends near Cambridge.  We are looking forward to seeing them again.  This is the first of three jaunts we have planned over the next couple of months so blogging could well be a bit sporadic!

Here's my attempt for today.
Enjoy the weekend.
Hugs

Mr & Mrs

Hello!
Sorry I had no post yesterday but time just wasn't on my side.  I'd to go to Edinburgh Airport to pick up my daughter, granddaughter and their friends as they were coming back from their holiday.  I can't believe that the week sped by so quickly but they all had a fabulous time so that was the main thing.

The day before, my friend and I ended up in Haddington at a bead and wool shop ... heaven!  I bought beads and made this bracelet.  I also bought some wool to do some Christmas knitting.

Today I'm meeting my cuz for lunch and as I'm still sitting here in my pjs I'd better get this posted and jump into the shower.  Mr Sunshine is a bit reluctant to show his face today but it doesn't seem to be cold.  As long as there's no rain I'm a happy bunny.

Happy Day

Hi peeps!
Another scheduled post today as my friend and I are off out for the day and our husbands are playing golf so we're all happy.  I'll let you know tomorrow where we end up.

I made this card yesterday when I was having a little creative spurt although the sun was shining and it's difficult to be inside.  I had the back door open all afternoon and the dogs were able to pop in and out and enjoy the sun too.  We have a four-legged visitor with us this week.  Our daughter and granddaughter are in Albir on holiday and are having a great time with hot weather.

a pair of lazybones!

do you think they're listening to me!

I've another clean and simple one to share today.

CAS Bling

Hi everyone!
What a gorgeous day and I'm battling a cold!  I've got a rough throat and a drippy nose but feel OK.  I've got two loads of washing out on the line which should be almost dry by now.

As promised here's a photo of the cupcakes we decorated at Scrumptiousness yesterday.  The owner, Sam, makes some stunning creations and she has some scrumptious cakes for sale in the parlour.  We also made a fondant rose which I haven't taken a photo of but will and pop it on the next time.

My creation for today is one of my favourites - clean and simple.  I hope you like it.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Woop woop .....

.... didn't let the cat out of the bag earlier until it was posted on the blog but I've been asked to join the Sparkle Creations Christmas Card DT.  My first creation will be posted next Sunday so please pop in and have a look.

Had a brilliant day with my friend and we thoroughly enjoyed the cupcake decorating class.  Will put some piccies up tomorrow once I've downloaded them from my phone.

Got a sniffly nose so I sincerely hope I'm not in for a dose of the cold.  Maybe it's the weather as it's very muggy today and a high pollen count.

See you tomorrow.
Hugs

Christmas on Sunday

Hi!
I've scheduled this post as I'm off to Edinburgh today.  It is my friend's birthday next Sunday but I'm celebrating with her today by taking her to lunch then to a cupcake decorating class.  She is often found in the kitchen with her eldest granddaughter baking up a batch of cupcakes so next time they're creating she'll be able to show off her new skills!  She knows nothing about the surprise and that's the way it's going to stay until the last minute!

Anyway, I've only one card to share with you as I was knackered.com when I got home from the school fete yesterday but it was well worth it.  When I got home it was make tea, feet up, knitting out and TV on for NCIS.

Enjoy your day whatever you're up to and hope to be back blogging on a regular basis again now that the fete is over.

Hugs

Cards for Men - DT

Morning all!
Between getting stuff completed for the fete, which is on Saturday, and the wonderful weather, I've been AWOL these past few days.  Unfortunately I won't have much time for blogging this week either so I'll apologise for that in advance but normal service will be resumed next week!

Today is the new challenge over at Cards for Men.  Our sponsor gave us so many fabby images to play with that the choice was difficult but here's what I've come up with.  Please take a minute to pop across to the blog and see what my teamies have used.

Off now to get more stuff bagged and priced.
Take care.
Hugs

I forgot to say the other day that I got my car back, all well again ... that is, except my pocket!  I'll need it this morning as our granddaughter has an appointment at the orthodontist again and is definitely having her braces fitted today.  I hope all goes ok and they don't hurt her too much.

Christmas on Sunday

Hi!
Time for Christmas cards again but I've only one to share with you this week.  I really must press on with the stuff for the fayre.  I have a pile of cards that need boxes but luckily I bought lots of envelope boxes from Tracy at Crafteezee.  They are brilliant, strong and ready scored.  I sent one with a card to my friend in Spain and it survived the trip completely unscathed.  Anyway, that's my job for today ... ironing can wait till tomorrow!

I just have to share these photos with you.  Our son has a huge garden and, this morning behind his woodshed, he captured these two four-day old roe deer.

The parents come to the garden regularly and are relatively tame so that's another two to add to the family.  How cute are they!

On to the business in hand though!  As I said, only one to share today and now I'm off to make the boxes.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Sympathy Butterfly

Hi all!
I came upstairs ages ago to do this post and got started on something else and the time has disappeared, so I'm sorry to be so late tonight.

I've been busy sorting out my cards and getting them bagged and labelled today as it's only two weeks until the school fete and I don't want to be running around like a headless chicken at the last minute, although I probably will!!!  I've also made a few cards to build up my stocks but I think I'm going to need a few more in some categories.

The theme at Less is More this week is the colour of your front door.  Unfortunately ours is very boring, white with patterned glass and silver accessories.  I had a root around in my paper pile for something appropriate and found a snippet of silver patterned paper which ties in with the pattern on the glass and also the silver theme.  I'm really happy with this card and I hope you like it too.

Off to bed now to read my book and I'll see you again tomorrow with some Christmas makes.
Hugs
