Another dreich (grey, rainy and generally horrid) day here in my little corner of the world.  It is so depressing when it's like that but hey, I've a craft room to play in where I can create and get lost in blogland!  It's a much nicer world than outside at the moment.

I'm still sitting here in my pjs so I think I'd better get a wriggle on and go do something constructive.

Hi everyone I'm back!

Before Christmas I was doing my own Christmas post on Sunday so I thought I'd start again and get my box filled up before the December panic sets in.  I know I've loads of time but you can never have too many Christmas cards.

We had a wee while this afternoon when the sun was shining and Mr C managed to get out with the dog but it's back to the same old again.

Christmas Cards DT - Anything Goes

Good morning Everyone!

Well, it's not really a good morning as far as the weather goes.  It's absolutely tipping down with rain and there's the odd flake of snow mixed in.  Definitely a day for the craft room.  UPDATE : 1040 GMT it's now snowing!

I forgot to tell you the other day that I was at the hospital to get my hearing aid.  Wow, I'm hearing things that I haven't heard for ages and what a difference that makes.  I certainly proved its worth yesterday when I was out with my friend.  She has a very soft voice and I used to struggle to hear what she was saying but yesterday all was good.  It is so small and light I don't even feel I'm wearing it.  Maybe I should have done it ages ago but hey, ho, it's done now!

The pair of us ended up at Doune Antique Centre.  It's a fabulous place to spend an hour or two reminiscing over the stuff our parents' had (and thrown out) and of course there's a lovely restaurant there where we had lunch.

Firstly, a big hello to all my new followers.  Nice to see you and I hope you enjoy my witterings and of course my designs.

What a lovely bright morning but brrrrrr, it's chilly out there.  Snow is forecast for my little corner of the world later this afternoon but it's not supposed to last for long ... lets hope they've got that right!

Off now to get myself organised, Mr Tesco is due shortly with my weekly shopping then I'm meeting up with an old school friend for lunch.

The challenge at Christmas Cards this week is one of my favs, a very clean and simple one layer card.  I really enjoy these kind of challenges as it stretches my imagination and I have to say, I'm very pleased how this one worked out.

I'm back again with my Holly Jolly challenge post.  Cindy worked so hard for us and got the blog up and running again so we're only one day late.  Hopefully there'll be no more hacking and everything will run smoothly again.

Morning!

I made this card yesterday for Crafty Hazelnut's challenge.  I got this image from the lovely Lori as a freebie and think it's so cute.

Life has returned to its normal routine and today I'm off out with my friend to Glendoick Garden Centre for a senior lunch.  It will be nice to catch up with her too and of course we can have a wee look round and see if there's any bargains in the sale!

Christmas Card DT - No Colouring

Hello!

Sunday again so that means the first Christmas Card Challenge of 2014.  Now this one is called No Colouring and I've interpreted it in that, the image IS coloured but it wasn't done by me.  It's was bought pre-coloured so I think that counts!

My friend and I went to House of Bruar yesterday, had a lovely lunch and a browse round but neither of us bought anything.  I think the shops are all pretty sad in January, a bit depleted after Christmas and by now it's just the dregs that's left in the sales.  Roll on the new Spring collections!

I'm hoping it stays fairly dry today as I was contemplating popping into town this afternoon to return a couple of things to M&S.  Fingers crossed.

Hi peeps!

What a beautiful morning, sun shining and there's no wind ... at the moment, but according to the forecast all that will change tonight again and it's back to gales and lashing rain.

Mr C and I were supposed to be going to a wedding reception in Edinburgh tonight but unfortunately we've had to cancel.  I'm totally washed out by evening time with the after effects of the virus so there's no point in being silly but we are so disappointed we're missing it.  It's my birthday today so Mr C is going to take me out for lunch instead.

Our sortie into town yesterday afternoon was a non event.  All the shops have sales on but nothing we wanted, in fact some of the shops had goods we'd never even seen before!  I've still got my pennies safely tucked up in my purse and one day I will see exactly what I'm looking for.
