Round and Round

Hi peeps!
Hope you are all well and enjoying your day.  Nothing much happening in our household today.  Mr C is working until midnight and my granddaughter is staying over as her Mum is doing a nightshift so I suppose I'd better go and rustle something up for tea!

Catch up with you again soon.
Hugs

Spring Flowers

Morning!
Here is my card for LIM and this week it's a one layer.  No faux pas this time, I read the challenge properly!  I do like making CAS cards but it took me a while to get into the one layer ones.  Sometimes they work, sometimes not!  Hope you like this one.

You're A Star

Morning all!
Wow, the sun has got his hat on .....!  Only thing is, I wonder how long it will last as every day there seems to be rain at some point.  Our local amateur weather forecaster is predicting warmer weather come the weekend so fingers crossed, he's usually right on the button.

I made this card yesterday.  I had a star design in my head but when I was cutting the stars out they sort of fell onto the card and another idea was born ... and it was better than the first one I had.  I hope you like it.

Off now to get Mr C's food bag ready as he's working midday to midnight and needs lunch and tea.  I'll need to pay a visit to Messrs M&S later or he'll not get any food tomorrow!

Barking Dog!

Hello everyone!
Was up at the crack of dawn today.  I was taking my friend to the station this morning for a train at 0802  as she was going to visit her sister so I decided that I'd hop on another train and go to Glasgow.  I'd an errand to do there and Mr C wasn't that keen to go with me on one of his days off (not a shopper!).  I arrived in Glasgow at 0920, sorted out what needed sorting, had coffee in John Lewis and one of their delish fruit scones then had a browse till I met my son for lunch.  His office is in Glasgow but he's not often there so I was lucky to catch up with him today.  It's nice to get him to myself sometimes!!!

I should have scheduled this last night but the TV is good on a Sunday night and I completely forgot before going to bed and I certainly didn't have time to switch the lappy on this morning!

Enjoy your evening.

It's a Man Thing!

Morning peeps!
I hope it's going to be a better day today.  When I went to the hairdresser yesterday I could hardly see in front of me and it was like that all morning and even when it cleared up it was grey and miserable.  I spent the rest of the morning houseworking (not my favourite occupation) and I played in the craft room in the afternoon.  Here is some of the fruits of my labours!

Meeting cousin for lunch so no doubt lots to catch up on.  Have a good day and stay safe.

One Layer

Hi everyone!
Wow, looking out the window and I see a few patches of blue sky and no rain!  Yesterday was rotten weather but I had a whizz round with the hoover and duster in the morning and played in the craft room in the afternoon.  The evening was spent knitting watching Dancing on Ice and Mr Selfridge so I enjoyed it!

Nothing much on the agenda today so I might just get some more time being creative!

Hi peeps!
Another rotten day and also much colder.  Think it could be another craft room day!  I've lots of stuff I could be getting on with that I've been putting off for another day so I might just bite the bullet ... today could be the day!

A New Baby & News

Hi, it's me again ... twice in one day!

I have some exciting news.  I was asked to join the Design Team at Moving Along with the Times.  Of course, no hesitation, I said YES!  My first challenge with them will be on 30 January and I've already got my card prepared!  Wish I was always so organised.

I've also got a card to share for Less is More.  I always try to take part as I love CAS.

Off now to have a tidy up so that I can be ready, with my feet up, for Dancing on Ice.  Why does Sunday night have too many good things on at once and Saturday (in my opinion) is absolute rubbish.  I'll need to get the link set up to record some of the programs.

See you soon.

Shades of Blue

Hi everyone!
Another miserable day but I have to say I'm so thankful we will never be flooded as we live at the top of a hill.  It would have to be rain of biblical proportions, and everyone else would be in the ark!  Having experienced flooding in our town in 1993 my heart goes out to everyone going through these difficult times.

I've been having a bit of a play this morning and getting on with lots of DT work so that I'm ahead of the game.  Let's hope it stays that way for the rest of the year!

Off now to make some lunch.
Stay safe and warm.

Less is More

Hello everyone!
Well it's a miserable, dark, wet morning in my little corner of the world.  Methinks it's another day in the craft room.  Yesterday I made quite a few cards for my craft fair box and I got inspiration from the very talented Jules on some quick, easy but stunning Christmas cards so that could well be what I'm up to later.

Thanks to everyone who sent good wishes yesterday for my hospital appointment.  All went well and the consultant thought I may have a blocked tear duct and wanted me to wait to see the nurse and have it flushed out. Unfortunately, as Mr C was with me and due to start work in an hour, I couldn't wait but have to go back on 22nd to have the procedure done so fingers crossed all will be well after that.  My eye isn't sore or anything but it's just so annoying when it does run and I feel I have a paper hankie permanently in my hand when I'm outdoors.

What a rotten sleep I had last night.  I was really tired so popped off to bed whenever New Tricks finished at 10.  I was asleep by 1030 but woke up around 2 and the last time I looked at the clock it was 0457 and I hadn't slept a wink, needless to say I could have stayed in bed this morning!

Off now to get ready for the day.
Hope you have a good one.
Hugs

Felt Flowers

Morning one and all!
Another lovely morning, the sun is shining and it's fairly warm.  Hope this lasts for another few weeks, some hope!

When I saw the theme on Less is More this week I knew I had some felt flowers lurking in the depths of my craft cupboard.  Goodness knows how long they've been there and I'm sure they thought they'd never see the light of day but, voila!

Off now to hang out the washing and get organised.  My pal and I are off on the bus to Dundee in a while.

Get Well

Hi!
I made this card on Sunday but have scheduled it for today in case I don't have time to do some crafting.  I'm meeting one of my friends today and we're off for a seniors' lunch ... I don't mind being retired at all, it certainly has its compensations!

Have a good day.

Pretty Flowers

Hello my friends!
Another lovely day in my little corner of the world.  I've been busy this morning doing housework.  Bedcovers changed, washed, dried and back onto the bed!  They didn't even need ironing, woopee!

I'm going to have a play in the craft room until it's time to walk the dog.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Just for You

Hi everyone!
Wow, posting three days in a row ... a first for a long time!  What a lovely day again.  I've been into town to meet up with one of my friends who is recently retired.  It was lovely to have time to potter and have lunch and a good long natter.

Mr C and I had an afternoon out yesterday ... at the Truckfest (yes, Truckfest) at Ingleston.  I just love big trucks and wish I was at least 30 years younger and I could be a truck driver!  For those of you who have been following my blog for a long time you'll remember I was lucky enough to take part in a Fire Service Ladies Driving Day and was able to drive an artic, fire engine, bus etc ... oooooh, bliss!  When we got home we met up with friends, had tea then got flights organised.  Mr C and I have been asked to house sit for friends in Spain while they are on a cruise so our friends are coming too.  That's the end of October, only 11 weeks, and the way time is flying it won't be that long!

fabulous art work

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!
Wow, what a weird day, one minute it's torrential rain and black as night, the next it's sunny and dry again.  At least it's not cold but not a day to hang the washing out.

I enjoyed lunch with my cousin the other day and my daughter popped along to join us as she's still on holiday till the beginning of next week.  It was nice to have a catch up and hear how the youngsters are getting on at Camp America.

Yesterday, Friday, out with Aunt day.  We had a run to Glasgow and as she stays in Auchterarder it doesn't take long to get there since the new road was built.  We only visited the shops in Buchanan Galleries.  There were lots of sales on and my Aunt bought a jacket but unfortunately it was full price ... typical!

I'm doing a bit of catch-up today as Mr C and I are off Thursday-Tuesday to visit friends near Cambridge.  We are looking forward to seeing them again.  This is the first of three jaunts we have planned over the next couple of months so blogging could well be a bit sporadic!

Here's my attempt for today.
Enjoy the weekend.
Hugs

Christmas on Sunday

Hi!
I've scheduled this post as I'm off to Edinburgh today.  It is my friend's birthday next Sunday but I'm celebrating with her today by taking her to lunch then to a cupcake decorating class.  She is often found in the kitchen with her eldest granddaughter baking up a batch of cupcakes so next time they're creating she'll be able to show off her new skills!  She knows nothing about the surprise and that's the way it's going to stay until the last minute!

Anyway, I've only one card to share with you as I was knackered.com when I got home from the school fete yesterday but it was well worth it.  When I got home it was make tea, feet up, knitting out and TV on for NCIS.

Enjoy your day whatever you're up to and hope to be back blogging on a regular basis again now that the fete is over.

Hugs

Sympathy Butterfly

Hi all!
I came upstairs ages ago to do this post and got started on something else and the time has disappeared, so I'm sorry to be so late tonight.

I've been busy sorting out my cards and getting them bagged and labelled today as it's only two weeks until the school fete and I don't want to be running around like a headless chicken at the last minute, although I probably will!!!  I've also made a few cards to build up my stocks but I think I'm going to need a few more in some categories.

The theme at Less is More this week is the colour of your front door.  Unfortunately ours is very boring, white with patterned glass and silver accessories.  I had a root around in my paper pile for something appropriate and found a snippet of silver patterned paper which ties in with the pattern on the glass and also the silver theme.  I'm really happy with this card and I hope you like it too.

Off to bed now to read my book and I'll see you again tomorrow with some Christmas makes.
Hugs

Doggy Tails

Hello everyone!
I've been missing in action again!  Wow, what a busy few days I've had and no crafting to show for it.  On Thursday my friend, her sister and I ended up in Dundee and went to bingo in the afternoon ... winning naught!  Yesterday I was in Stirling again with my Aunt as she'd stuff to take back and today I was out with another bestest bud to House of Bruar.  When I got in I thought I'd better show face and do something for the Less is More challenge.  Hope you like it.

Off now to make tea then watch NCIS ... anything beats having to sit through the Eurovision.

One Layer

Hi everyone!
Sorry I didn't have time to blog yesterday but by the time I got home I was just wanting to put my feet up and chill.  My aunt and I had a lovely day in Stirling.  It's a great place to go when the weather's wet as you never need to be outside!  I even had my car valeted while we were shopping, such decadence!

I'd a fabulous day in Edinburgh with my friend.  When she met me off the train we headed straight to Harvey Nicks for a coffee and goodie, then a look round the shops.  Patisserie Valerie was where we had a snack at lunchtime and I'd the cheek to eat my tea when I got home!

I've been in Dundee today with my daughter.  We hadn't had time out together for ages so it was lovely to catch up.

Now, as always on Saturday I like to do the Less is More challenge.  I'm not too sure about this creation, seems very bland but I've followed the criteria!  It wasn't till I'd stamped it that I realised because the card is self patterned it shows up on the image but I actually quite like the effect.

I got interrupted there.  My neighbour just popped in with 12x100g balls of wool so you know what I'm going to be doing.  She told me earlier that she was going to be a grandma again so I'm knitting for the new baby.  There's only one of the 7 I was knitting for still to be born so it's nice to have more to do.  I love knitting baby things.

Anyway, enough waffling.  Here's my card for today and I'll be back tomorrow with my Sunday Christmas cards.

Enjoy your evening.
Hugs
Anne x
