Hello peeps!

Phew, what a busy day I had yesterday.  I took my car to the tyre place and while they were doing whatever they'd to do I popped into town, went to the bank and did a few bits of shopping.  After I picked up my car, and a pleasantly small bill, I met my cousin for lunch and we caught up with family stuff, put the world to rights then mulled over the impending referendum.  It was then back home to finish making my steak pie.  I'd cooked the meat before I went out in the morning but still had the pastry to do.  Tatties and veg were already prepared so I was ready with a hot chocolate when granddaughter came in from school!  Daughter then came in and the chatting began in earnest!  After they went home I spent the rest of the evening in my craft haven as, for me, the telly was rubbish!

Today I'm off out with my Aunt and I think we are heading for Crieff.  We haven't been there for a while so it'll be a wee change.  

Best go and get organised now or I'll be running late.

Morning!

I'm not saying 'good morning' cos it's not, its just a grey, wet and chilly day again.  Ooooh we are all getting so fed up of this aren't we.  One of these days we'll hopefully get some pleasant weather.  I read the headlines in one of the papers that we are to have a spring heatwave ... bring it on!

This is another card I made on Sunday with new stuff that fell through the letterbox!  You'd think the number of times the postie visits our house the dog would be used to him by now but no, she goes mental when he's at 'her' door but if she's out walking in the street and he's passing she doesn't bother two hoots.  She's a crazy one!   Anyway, the digi and the trellis die are both new and I think they work well together ... you may well see more of these designs. 

Mr C and I had a lovely lunch yesterday.  He had curried carrot soup and chicken pie and I had chicken pie and apple tart ... yum, yum, yum!  Today Mr C is off to the dentist and I'm pottering at home.  We've someone coming to see us at lunchtime as the bathroom is going to be getting a makeover.  We are getting rid of the bath as when my back is playing up I find it very difficult to get into it to have a shower as it's an over the bath one at the moment.  Only problem is that we'll need to start from scratch as the whole bathroom is tiled at the moment and they'll all need to come off so that means new walls and floor.

Still sitting in my pjs so I'd better get a wriggle on and get organised or the chap will be knocking at the door and I'll be embarrassed!

Morning peeps!

I really don't know where all the rain is coming from and my heart goes out to those who have been flooded out for weeks.  My aunt and I went to Stirling yesterday, it's a great place when it's horrid weather as the car park is within the shopping centre and you never need get cold or wet!

Son and DIL are staying the night tonight.  They are playing in the Scottish National Badminton Championships here in Perth this weekend.  Fingers crossed they do well although my son isn't too confident.

Nothing else to report today.  Keep warm and stay safe.

Ooops, I can't believe another week has gone and I haven't lived up to my own resolution of posting more often!  I just never seem to have long enough to sit down in the craft room and actually create.  Once I've popped onto my favourite blogs (and got sidetracked of course!) I've run out of time.  Maybe next week will be more productive.

Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you're up to.  Our granddaughter stayed over last night so I'll drop her off at her Saturday job then I'm meeting my friend for lunch ... no wonder I never have time, I never seem to be at home.

Morning!
Ooops, forgot to schedule this post but at least I'm still on the correct day!

It's a pretty grey day but I'm off to meet 3 friends for our Christmas lunch and parcel swap.  It doesn't feel like Christmas as yet and it certainly doesn't seem like a year since the big man in the red suit last visited.  

I was in Stirling yesterday with my Aunt and it was busy. I'll need to take her somewhere quieter for the next few weeks as she has a walking aid and it's not easy when there's lots of folk buzzing about with parcels and little patience.

My first Christmas fair went quite well.  It was a very small affair for school funds but it got me into the swing of things for next Sunday for the much larger one in a hotel in the centre of town.

Christmas on Sunday

Hi!

Me again.  I've only one card for my self imposed Christmas makes on a Sunday.  I've got a few kits that I'm using to make other cards so I've only time to fit in a few challenges this week.

Mr C is outside cutting the grass which he hopes will be the last time this year.  Our GSD is looking out of the window wishing she was there with him but dogs and electric lawnmowers are not a very good mix.  Here is a picture of her in her morning pose waiting for the poor postie.  She goes absolutely loopy when he pops things through the letter box but will happily walk past him in the street!

Anyway, off now to get some more kit cards made up.  It's so easy not having to enlist the help of Mr Mojo, especially when he's sloped off and not told me where!

Hello!

My friend and I had a lovely day in Glasgow yesterday.  We've both got bus passes so why not use them!  It only takes an hour from Perth, you get off the bus, cross the road and you're into the Buchanan Galleries ... brilliant!  We had time for lunch and a look round the shops then back on the bus again.  Thankfully my back was a bit better yesterday but I'm determined not to let it stop me doing anything, if I can help it!  All I bought was 2 buttons ... last of the big spenders!  

When we were in John Lewis looking at the buttons my friend came across beauties, while we were ooohing and aaahing over them she noticed the price ... £6.95 EACH!!!  She quickly returned the tube to the display!

My car, after me crowing that it passed it's MOT with nothing needing done, is back in the garage today.  I went to move it out of the drive yesterday so the guy could sand between the mono blocks and it was reluctant to start and when it did it stuttered and spluttered.  Mr C said it was like me, not firing on all cylinders, so hopefully it will be sorted by tonight.

Not sure what's happening in our household today.  Mr C is supposed to be going to golf with his pal but it looks as though the rain isn't far away and the pair of them are fair weather golfers.  

Ah well, I'd best go and find something constructive to do.

Evening all!

It's been another busy old day and I'm chasing my tail again!  What a beautiful day it's been and no cold wind for a change.  I was up with the lark this morning, into town for shopping and bits and pieces and home again by 11 o'clock!  The rest of the day has been spent crafting, jewellery making and my most hated of all jobs, cooking!

I've been having a good old rant tonight.  God bless one of my blogging buddies cos she had to listen to it.  Thank you, you know who you are!  To summarise : I placed a crafty order 11 weeks ago and still haven't received it.  I'm saying no more about it at the moment until I see what the reply to my email is but if I don't get any satisfaction, I'm naming and shaming.  I really hate shoddy customer service and I have to say, it's very very rare in the craft world.  Parcels are usually popping through my door almost as soon as I've placed the order.

Anyway, rant over so I'd better show you one of the creations I've made today.

Hi blogging buddies!

Mr Postie arrived yesterday with a lovely parcel from Stampin Up.  Unfortunately the first stamps I've used were sympathy ones.  I had real trouble trying to get the sentiment straight on the card so ended up stamping it on a separate piece then adding it.  I'm still not convinced it's straight mind you but it's the best I can do.

Mr C is out with the dog so I thought I'd have a play in the craftroom.  I'm waiting for an engineer to call this afternoon as our fridge isn't cooling, luckily though it's still under guarantee!  On the down side I got a Tesco shop delivered when we came home and this happened the following day and because it was Easter weekend I coudn't phone about it till Tuesday so the majority of the stuff had to be binned, grrr!  If he says he doesn't have a part or can't fix it there will be a few choice words spoken!  I'll keep you posted.

Right, off to get crafting.

Time certainly flies when you're enjoying yourself.  I've been experimenting in the craft room tonight, perhaps the results may be seen tomorrow!  All of a sudden I realised what time it was and had to make a quick card to post.  I've also been having a sort-out on my computer as it's running like a slug and I don't want to lose anything before I get around to getting a new one so I was filing stuff onto my external hard drive.  Heaven help me if that ever goes wrong :-(

I had a lovely afternoon with my granddaughter today.  We lunched then shopped, what more could us girls ask for!

Sorry I'm so late on the go tonight but I've had a busy day doing housework in the morning then I'd a couple of baby cards to make this afternoon.  I've been watching tv tonight and completely forgot that I hadn't posted anything ... blonde moment!!!  Is anyone else watching Broadchurch?  I still can't make up my mind about it, I just don't get where it's going, nowhere fast really!  Mind you I've got the knitting pins clicking away at the same time so maybe I've missed something along the way.

Morning everyone!

This is my last post before Mr C and I are off on holiday.  I haven't got anything scheduled while I'm away so will be back blogging again on 28 March.  I hope you all have fun crafting and keep out of mischief!

I'm going to get shellac done on my nails today, a present from my daughter for Mothers' Day.  I usually do my nails myself but as this lasts for 3/4 weeks it will save me taking all my nail accoutrements with me.  The burning question now is, what colour do I get?

Spring has Sprung!

Happy Friday morning!

Yes, another day I can say, sunshine and blue skies!  I'm off out with my Aunt today and haven't a clue where to take her.  It's hard finding somewhere different and where it's flat.  No doubt we'll think of somewhere and as long as there's a cafe en route we'll be OK!

Mr C has a 'to do' list today.  I switched on the hoover yesterday and it just blew all the dust around the house .... grrr.  I've tasked him with trying to (a) find out what is wrong and (b) fix it!  It's maybe just as well that I'm going to be out because the air may be blue as well as dusty.

Best get a wriggle on.
