Suzy Bee's DT - Anything Goes

Hi everyone

Firstly, a very big thank you to all my blogging friends and commenters, you make crafting worthwhile and I don't say often enough how much I appreciate your visits.  

On now to this week's challenge at Suzy Bee's.  It's any Anything Goes so please join in!

Today is going to be a catch-up day ... more ironing, washing, housework and hopefully I'll manage to squeeze in some baking.  It's been all play this week and today's the day it's caught up with me!  Not to worry, I've got tomorrow to look forward to, an afternoon with Mr C and our son and DIL.  It might be an afternoon of work mind you as they had trees cut down last night and they've all to be chopped up and stored, ready for using next winter ... or the one after that!  Mr C has to take bags with him and we're getting a load of wood to bring home for our store.  I know there'll be a delicious meal at the end of it too!

Hello peeps!

Phew, what a busy day I had yesterday.  I took my car to the tyre place and while they were doing whatever they'd to do I popped into town, went to the bank and did a few bits of shopping.  After I picked up my car, and a pleasantly small bill, I met my cousin for lunch and we caught up with family stuff, put the world to rights then mulled over the impending referendum.  It was then back home to finish making my steak pie.  I'd cooked the meat before I went out in the morning but still had the pastry to do.  Tatties and veg were already prepared so I was ready with a hot chocolate when granddaughter came in from school!  Daughter then came in and the chatting began in earnest!  After they went home I spent the rest of the evening in my craft haven as, for me, the telly was rubbish!

Today I'm off out with my Aunt and I think we are heading for Crieff.  We haven't been there for a while so it'll be a wee change.  

Best go and get organised now or I'll be running late.

Hi everyone!

Wow, looking out the window and I see a few patches of blue sky and no rain!  Yesterday was rotten weather but I had a whizz round with the hoover and duster in the morning and played in the craft room in the afternoon.  The evening was spent knitting watching Dancing on Ice and Mr Selfridge so I enjoyed it!  

Nothing much on the agenda today so I might just get some more time being creative!

Morning peeps!

I really don't know where all the rain is coming from and my heart goes out to those who have been flooded out for weeks.  My aunt and I went to Stirling yesterday, it's a great place when it's horrid weather as the car park is within the shopping centre and you never need get cold or wet!

Son and DIL are staying the night tonight.  They are playing in the Scottish National Badminton Championships here in Perth this weekend.  Fingers crossed they do well although my son isn't too confident.

Nothing else to report today.  Keep warm and stay safe.

Mr C and I are off to Nick Nairn's restaurant at Dunblane Hydro tonight as my cousin's husband was 60 yesterday so there's a family gathering to celebrate tonight.  If I get any decent photos I'll post them tomorrow!  Off now to do my nails and some general pampering ... having a lazy afternoon.

Another Baby

Hello folks!

Hope you are all well and the weather's not too bad where you are.  We are alternating between sun and heavy sleet showers today and it's a bitter wind out there ... when are we going to get decent weather?  Not to worry, I'm warm and dry in my crafty bubble!  You'll be fed up with baby cards but I think this might be one of the last.  I'm trying to make a pile of cards for the school fete but that's when Mr Mojo decides to go walkabout!  Thank goodness for Pinterest, I get lots of inspiration there.

Here's a piccie of the 5 cardis I sewed up yesterday.  I still need to get buttons for them but that's on my do to list for next time I'm in town.  As you can see the design on them all is this same, it's my fav and I don't even need to consult the pattern any more!

Must get a wriggle on and get into the kitchen to cook tea.

Hi folks

At last I've got round to sharing a creation with you.  I was out with my Aunt yesterday and by the time I got home I didn't feel too good.  I wasn't so bad when I got up this morning and went out for lunch with my daughter but am beginning to feel a bit poorly again.  My head and the back of my eyes are sore and I'm coughing like a good 'un.  I sincerely hope I've not got the bug that's going around cos it's another one that lasts for ages.  Another early night for me I fear.

Anyway, here's a card for the Saturday Less is More challenge.  The naughty photo fairy has been at work again and the card looks as though it's very squint ... not in real life though, believe me!

Off to make cuppa and take another couple of paracetamol.  NCIS is on shortly so that will keep me occupied until bed time.

Happy Birthday

Hello!

What a windy morning but the sun is shining and it's dry.  I'm off to meet my friend this afternoon for coffee and a rummage round the bead shop.  I've been making the Kumihimo bracelets for the school fayre but made some other ones yesterday and need more supplies as I got the thumbs up from my granddaughter and her friend.  

  

While watching Scott & Bailey last night I knitted up another bag but I've not done the finishing off yet so will let you see it when I'm done. Yesterday I posted off the 10 little cardis and 2 blankets I knitted for the mum to be of twins.  The, can't contain herself grandma to be (my friend from Spain), arrived to be with her daughter yesterday.  The twins will be arriving on Sunday and as we don't know if it's boys, girls or one of each everyone is waiting with baited breath. I'll keep you posted!

Right, onto the reason I came here, my card for today!

Take care if you're out in the wind and I'll see you soon.  I don't know if I'll make it onto the blog tomorrow as I'm taking my aunt to Dalkeith.  The craft place I get my card etc is there and I'm in dire need of supplies.  As always there's a lovely restaurant nearby so that's our plans for Friday.

Hello Everyone!

I've been working like a wee Trojan this morning so I've allowed myself some playtime in the craftroom!  I've no doubt I'll get a telling off from some of my followers who have been encouraging me to get my case packed but hey, it's only Sunday and we don't go away till Thursday ... plenty time :)

I always try to take part in the Less is More challenge so I've made this simple card for it.  I bought this image as part of a set last week and I love every one of them.  They are so easy to use and I think they're very effective.

Welcome to my new followers, Pauline, Christine and Carole Ann.  I hope you enjoy my following my creations and I appreciate any comments you leave.

I've seen a few cards around blogland using the technique I've used here. They looked so classy (and difficult) and I'd no idea where to start.  I went onto the Splitcoaststampers website to see if I could find how to do this and, sure enough, there was a tutorial, and when I read it I couldn't believe how simple it was to achieve such a stunning effect.  If you want to try it out, just follow this link.  

Sorry this card looks a bit wonky, camera operator error!  It is straight in real life, honest!

Pretty cold and grey here in the East of Scotland but hey 14 sleeps and I'm off to Spain with Mr C for 3 weeks.  Can't wait to get some sunshine and see all the friends we made when we lived there.  I've already started getting stuff looked out that I'm going to take with me.  I won't be taking any craft stuff as I'll be going to card class while I'm there and June will provide me with goodies to make a few bits and pieces.  I started the class and June happily took over when we decided to come home.  I have got my knitting pins looked out though and Mr Postie brought me a lovely parcel of baby wool yesterday so I'm going to be busy again.

That's Mr C on his week off now and his first task is to take his car to the garage.  There's something wrong with the electrics and his dashboard is like Blackpool illuminations at times!

Sorry I'm a bit late on the go today.  It's been one of these days that nothing seemed to go as planned!  Not to worry, better late than never.

It's been another nice day here, dry and cold but I notice tonight on the forecast there's snow looming again.  I hope it stays away as Mr C and I are going to Inverness next week for 3 days and I don't want the weather to be bad then.  

Here's my card for the day.  I must enlist the help of my son and get these photos sorted out.  The colouring on the card is a lovely blue but it isn't showing up very well on the photo.  My son is a dab hand at photography so I've no doubt, when he has time, he'll give me some instruction!

I decided when I started crafting again I wasn't going to buy dies, punches etc that I was only going to use once or twice then they never see the light of day again so I scoured ebay the other day for die cuts and bought quite a few different ones.  At the moment it seems a better idea to me but you never know ...

I have left this card blank intentionally as it could be used for so many different occasions and I'll stamp whatever sentiment is appropriate when I need it.

Brrr, its freezing cold this morning, snowing and blowing a hoolie ... winter's back with a vengeance.  Nowhere better than cozied up in the craftroom.

 I'm back in my old stomping ground of Ooh La La Creations today.  I got their latest CD Yesterdays Memories a while ago when couldn't summon up the enthusiasm to craft.  Anyway, at last, it's no longer a virgin CD!  I've interpreted the theme loosely so that I could use this fun image.  Well the kitten loves his sassy owner doesn't he!

Today we are having a lunch to celebrate 3 family March birthdays - granddaughter, daughter and husband!  Our son is coming through from Callander but unfortunately he'll be on his own as our DIL is in Singapore on business, oh how the other half live!!!

AWOL Again!

The craft room's been neglected again!  Thursday morning was class and in the afternoon I went to Dundee with my Daughter and Granddaughter.  They are off to a wedding this weekend and my Granddaughter still had nothing to wear!  Young ones ... grrr!  We managed to get her a trouser suit which she looked lovely in and it's something she'll wear afterwards.  They left yesterday as there was a family meal last night and the wedding is today.  It's sunny here just now so hope they've got sun too.

It's just a quickie today as Mr C and I are off to see our Son and DIL this afternoon.  We've a log splitter to take to him and in return we're getting a bootful of wood, simple things make us happy.

Get Well

Hello!  I'm later today as this morning I was waiting for the engineer to come and fix the washing machine.  It decided to let all it's water out over the floor the other day, just when I'd a heap to wash.  Thankfully, my bestest friend, said I could take my washing to her house last night when I was going to visit her anyway.  The chap came just before lunchtime so I'm now back in business.

It's the most beautiful day here again, sun and warmth (in the craft room anyway!).  My granddaughter and I are off to the the concert hall this evening.  There's a Russian skating group performing Cinderella on Ice.  We went to see them last year when they did Peter Pan and we thoroughly enjoyed it so hopefully tonight will be just as good.  I'm picking her up in a while and we're going out for tea first.

I've put my name down for GJWTHF craft day in Perth in June and was rooting around the tutors' blogs and saw a card like this on Debbi's blog so I've cased it ... thanks Debbi!

Hi! What a difference a day makes. The weather has been much nicer and we had sun for most of the day, dry but still a bit windy.  The cowl from the top of our chimney blew off during the night and landed in a tree in the garden behind us.  We only knew about it when the man came to the door with it in his hand!
