Oban ... here we come!

Well it's blowing a hoolie and absolutely hissing down here in my little corner of the world!  Mr C and I are off to Oban for a couple of nights to celebrate his birthday tomorrow.

Unfortunately I don't have any creations to share with you while I'm away but I'll be back to share my Christmas makes on Sunday.

Hi peeps!

A lovely morning here, sun shining at the moment but I don't know just how long it's going to last.  It depends which window I look out of as to the colour of the sky!

Before I get onto my witterings, I'm sorry I've been a bit remiss in visiting my blog friends, life has been a bit busy recently but I hope to get back to normal this week. 

Now, yesterday ... we had to be in Glasgow by 1030 to pick up Mr C's new car!  At last, I think he's been humming and hawing for about a year now.  Another Skoda but he's got a 4x4 this time as some of the places he goes to work are up dirt tracks and driving is sometimes not easy.  Anyway, the deed is now done!  We were actually in Glasgow earlier than we thought as we'd left in plenty of time because there was football traffic on the road.  There was a McD's next to the garage so we dived in there for a breakfast roll and a coffee.  After we'd picked up the car we headed back to Callander to see our son and DIL, they wanted a nosey round the new car!  The four of us went out to lunch at The Harbour Cafe at Loch Venachar

... pity it was blowing a hoolie and pretty dull as it would be the most beautiful spot on a sunny day.  The food was excellent and we'd a fun time.  It was almost 5pm by the time we reached home so it WAS a busy day!

I've just put this card together this morning and had to rake in the crafty cupboard for my stencils.  I don't know when they last saw the light of day.

Best get a move on now as I'm meeting a friend for lunch and a catch up.

How are you all this fine morning?  I'm off to Arbroath with my friend today.  Her granddaughter is in a drama group and they are in a competition today at 5pm so that's the reason we're off to the seaside!  Forecast is set fair so we're going early to have a browse round the shops and something to eat before we take our seats.

Hello peeps!

Phew, what a busy day I had yesterday.  I took my car to the tyre place and while they were doing whatever they'd to do I popped into town, went to the bank and did a few bits of shopping.  After I picked up my car, and a pleasantly small bill, I met my cousin for lunch and we caught up with family stuff, put the world to rights then mulled over the impending referendum.  It was then back home to finish making my steak pie.  I'd cooked the meat before I went out in the morning but still had the pastry to do.  Tatties and veg were already prepared so I was ready with a hot chocolate when granddaughter came in from school!  Daughter then came in and the chatting began in earnest!  After they went home I spent the rest of the evening in my craft haven as, for me, the telly was rubbish!

Today I'm off out with my Aunt and I think we are heading for Crieff.  We haven't been there for a while so it'll be a wee change.  

Best go and get organised now or I'll be running late.

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well this morning and enjoying the better weather we are having. Another lovely start to the day here so let's just hope it lasts!

Yesterday when I went out to the car to go to visit my friend I'd a flat tyre.  As it was such a beautiful day I decided to walk and Mr C came to pick me up and, of course, he changed my tyre for me.  I'll need to pay a visit to the garage today to get another one sorted out though.  I'll do some shopping in town if I need to wait for it being done.

After I've been to the garage I'm meeting my cuz for lunch and daughter and granddaughter are popping in for tea.  I'll get caught up on all their latest happenings.  Daughter has got a new job, where she works just now but a step up and she's to be told her start date today so she'll be mega excited and I probably won't get a word in edgeways!  Granddaughter was at the cinema last night with her pal to see the Lego Movie so I've no doubt I'll be hearing about that too.  I tell you, she's got a better social life than the rest of us put together!  

Best get a wriggle on now.  See you again soon.

Hi!

I'm back again with my self imposed Christmas challenge! Still sitting here in my pjs but I must get a wriggle on, can't be lazy all day ... or can I!  

Dancing on Ice final on tonight.  I'd really like Beth to win but I've a feeling it will be Ray, time will tell.  4 of us have tickets for the show in Glasgow next month and we're all looking forward to it.  It's amazing how fast the dancers move over the ice when you see it in real life ... scary stuff!

I'd an afternoon playing in the craftroom yesterday and caught up with recorded programs on TV at night.  Don't know what Mr C and I are going to be up to today, he's talking about a new car but then he's been talking about it for months!!!

It's a clean and simple challenge at Christmas Cards today and you couldn't get much cleaner and simpler than this one but anyone who follows me on a regular basis will know that CAS is my preferred genre.

I forgot to schedule this last night as I was out with family and our granddaughter's friends for a meal as it was her 16th birthday.  Where have these years gone?  Anyway, we all had a lovely time and she was throughly spoilt as always.  I'm actually sitting here with a cuppa by my side along with a piece of birthday cake (no calories in it, ha ha).

It's time for another Suzy Bee challenge so here is my offering.  Off now to have a play.  Mr C is away to work, it's hissing down outside and all the housework is done so I think I deserve it.

New Home

Morning one and all!

Well, what disappointing weather we had yesterday after the lovely day we had on Monday.  No long walk for me and my four-legged friend as every time I looked out the window it was raining ... grrrrrr!

On to my share for today and it's winging its way to Spain.  Friends of ours have moved into sheltered accommodation in Benidorm so this card is for them.  I was inspired to make it by my blogging bud Jen of The Tiny Blue Butterfly but I think hers is much better.

Better go and have brekkie now then showered and ready as three of us (all been friends for 45years) are meeting up as we're having a birthday celebration for one of the group.

You're A Star

Morning all!

Wow, the sun has got his hat on .....!  Only thing is, I wonder how long it will last as every day there seems to be rain at some point.  Our local amateur weather forecaster is predicting warmer weather come the weekend so fingers crossed, he's usually right on the button.

I made this card yesterday.  I had a star design in my head but when I was cutting the stars out they sort of fell onto the card and another idea was born ... and it was better than the first one I had.  I hope you like it.

Off now to get Mr C's food bag ready as he's working midday to midnight and needs lunch and tea.  I'll need to pay a visit to Messrs M&S later or he'll not get any food tomorrow!

How are you all this morning?  It's a better morning here in my little corner of the world and the sun's actually trying to poke it's head through the clouds.  Roll on Spring but I fear we may have a little of the white stuff before that happens!

Nothing much happening in the Campbell household today.  Mr C is on call so can't go far from the house and I've got a date with Mr Vacuum and Mr Duster!  It's a hard life but if I get a wriggle on I'll have the afternoon to play in the craft room.  Enjoy your weekend.

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all well this morning and raring to go.  Yesterday actually turned out quite nice and I went for a walk in the afternoon with Mr C and the dog.  There is a lovely walk not far from our house and I haven't been along there for a while so it was nice to see the spring flowers poking their heads through and banks of snowdrops too.  It also proved to me how unfit I've become again so I'd better start going out with them a bit more often!

  

I've nothing much on the agenda today as my friends have deserted me completely this week!  Oh well, not to worry, there's always housework and playing in the craft room to keep me occupied.
