Ismaki - Sketch #16

My friends and I love to chat and put the world to rights over a cuppa so I though this card would be great for the Ismaki 'Sketch #16'.

Arty Girlz - Ribbons

I bought a whole load of new ribbons when I was in town the other day and by entering Arty Girls 'Ribbon' challenge was able to put a couple of them to good use!

Daring Cardmakers - Hot & Spicy

Daring Cardmakers challenge of 'Hot & Spicy' really set me thinking. At first I thought of food but as I don't do Hot & Spicy I then thought of colours and orange tones sprang to mind. Definitely not the kind of card I'd usually make.

Tilda & Co - Girly But Blue

As it rightly says in the Tilda & Co challenge this week it's not often we make a girly card 'Blue'. I enjoyed making this card as it has again taken me away from the 'norm'.

Rainbow Lady - Beads

I haven't done any stitching on cards for ages so I thought as Rainbow Lady posed the theme of 'Beads' I would get out my needle, thread and beads.

Theme Thursday - Stripes

I was asked this morning to do a birthday card for a 7 year old (going on 17) who likes pink and modern dance. Never one to miss an opportunity I thought I'd combine it with the Theme Thursday challenge of 'Stripes'. I hope it's both pink enough and fits with the request. No pressure eh!

Cute Card Thursday - It's A Mans World

I have an aversion to making cards for men so it's just as well that there are challenges which encourage me to get moving and make one. This one I made for Cute Card Thursday and it is called 'It's A Mans World'. It really wasn't difficult, just that you can't use all the pretty colours, flowers and embellies that you can on a card for a lady.

Papertake - All That Glitters

My bestest friend is a Granny again so this card is to welcome Abi into the world. I've used the Tilda with Baby stamp to represent Abi and her very proud big sister, Megan. I've used glitter on the hair and baby so I can enter the Papertake Weekly challenge of 'All that Glitters'.

My Time to Craft - Framed

Sorry this scan is a little squint - it's getting late! Did this card for My Time to Craft which set us the challenge of 'Framed'. I'm really not sure about this one but it's growing on me!

Daring Cardmakers - Flutterby Butterfly

This card was designed for the Daring Cardmakers Challenge of 'Butterfly, Flutterby'. I was rooting through my paper stash for something else and came across this K & Co paper which I'd forgotten I had! The card has a feeling of spring about it I think.

Ismaki - Sketch 15

I have used 'Sketch #15' from the Ismaki Challenge to create this birthday card for a friend of ours who will be 60 on Friday.

Tilda & Co - Ribbon Galore

Wow, managed to complete two challenges in one! This design is for My Paper World 'Sketch #8' and Tilda & Co 'Ribbons Galore'. Doing the challenges certainly focuses the mind and I'm doing something different all the time and enjoying each and every one.

Tilda & Co - Stitch Me Up

Playing catch-up and have only just managed to get this challenge done before the next one is set! It's the Tilda & Co Challenge and the theme is 'Stitch Me Up'. I'm not a great stitcher so have used faux stitching on the card and there is some stitching along each side of the ribbon.

Ismaki - Challenge 14

This is the first time I've entered the Ismaki Challenge. I enjoyed doing this one as there was a sketch to follow which makes for less 'thinking'!

Arty Girlz - Black & White

Arty Girlz Challenge of 'Black and White' spurred me on the create this, the third christening card for a commission. I hope it's not too stark but I liked it - hope my client does!!!

Theme Thursday - Cherish

I was asked to make 3 christening cards for the same little girl. I find this a difficult task but with the help of challenges I've cracked it! This card was done for Theme Thursday Challenge which is called 'Cherish' where you have to use the word somewhere in your design. I enjoyed doing this one.

Cute Card Thursday - Things With Wings

Tut, tut. Another week gone and I've been pretending there's been no challenges again. I had a friend visiting last week so you can imagine, not a lot of crafting - too much talking! Anyway this challenge is from Cute Card Thursday and is called 'Things With Wings'. This card was made for a commission and it suited the category perfectly.
