Frou Frou

Hello peeps!

Phew, what a busy day I had yesterday.  I took my car to the tyre place and while they were doing whatever they'd to do I popped into town, went to the bank and did a few bits of shopping.  After I picked up my car, and a pleasantly small bill, I met my cousin for lunch and we caught up with family stuff, put the world to rights then mulled over the impending referendum.  It was then back home to finish making my steak pie.  I'd cooked the meat before I went out in the morning but still had the pastry to do.  Tatties and veg were already prepared so I was ready with a hot chocolate when granddaughter came in from school!  Daughter then came in and the chatting began in earnest!  After they went home I spent the rest of the evening in my craft haven as, for me, the telly was rubbish!

Today I'm off out with my Aunt and I think we are heading for Crieff.  We haven't been there for a while so it'll be a wee change.  

Best go and get organised now or I'll be running late.

Morning all!

Don't know where this week has gone, I've been busy all week and blogging hasn't been on the agenda!  I was out yesterday with my Aunt as I usually am on a Friday and guess what ... we had SUNSHINE!  Wow, what a beautiful day.  Unfortunately it's back to normal again today, dreich is the only word I can use to describe it. (For my non Scottish friends that means grey, miserable, damp and generally horrid!)

My best bud is off to America next weekend for 6 weeks so we're meeting up today as she'll be busy getting ready next week.  Oooh, what will I do when she's away, nobody to lead me astray!  I might actually get down to some serious crafting.

Greetings!

There are a few challenges this week for a Thank You card so before I got onto the housework yesterday I made this card.  Hope you like it.

I was in bed by the back of 9 last night and didn't have too bad a sleep but still not 100% today.  I'm off into town with my friend as she wants to go to the library to buy (!) her Christmas cards.  Each year they have a lovely selection of charity cards and I've a few bits and pieces to do.  No doubt we'll manage to squeeze in lunch, or a cuppa at least!

Hi everyone!

I've scheduled this post as I've a hospital appointment this morning.  My left eye runs from time to time and it is so annoying when it does.  I've been putting it off for a while, a long while in fact, but eventually had to give in and go to the doc who referred me to the eye clinic.  Mr C is coming with me cos my appointment letter said I might need to have drops in my eye and I wouldn't be able to drive right away.  Will keep you posted!

I have to apologise for the wonky photo.  It makes the card look as if it is completely misaligned but, fear not, it's OK in real life.

Hello!

My friend and I had a lovely day in Glasgow yesterday.  We've both got bus passes so why not use them!  It only takes an hour from Perth, you get off the bus, cross the road and you're into the Buchanan Galleries ... brilliant!  We had time for lunch and a look round the shops then back on the bus again.  Thankfully my back was a bit better yesterday but I'm determined not to let it stop me doing anything, if I can help it!  All I bought was 2 buttons ... last of the big spenders!  

When we were in John Lewis looking at the buttons my friend came across beauties, while we were ooohing and aaahing over them she noticed the price ... £6.95 EACH!!!  She quickly returned the tube to the display!

My car, after me crowing that it passed it's MOT with nothing needing done, is back in the garage today.  I went to move it out of the drive yesterday so the guy could sand between the mono blocks and it was reluctant to start and when it did it stuttered and spluttered.  Mr C said it was like me, not firing on all cylinders, so hopefully it will be sorted by tonight.

Not sure what's happening in our household today.  Mr C is supposed to be going to golf with his pal but it looks as though the rain isn't far away and the pair of them are fair weather golfers.  

Ah well, I'd best go and find something constructive to do.

Mum to Be

Hello!

I'm running a bit late tonight as I was watching TV!  I was out with a school chum today and we ventured north to Grandtully to The Highland Chocolatier.  I can't believe I'd never heard of it before, let alone been there.  Awesome is the only word I can use to describe it.  You see the choccies being made and readied to be despatched to the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Claridges and Harvey Nics to name but a few so we are talking seriously wonderful stuff.  My dear friend bought me a cone of white chocolate buttons which I'm going to savour.  You will know by now that there would be an eaterie attached which was as delicious as the chocolates.  All in all it was a lovely day out, the sun was shining, it was warm (inside the car) and the scenery beautiful.  I can't believe how late everything is this year, only one more day until May and the trees are just beginning to spring to life.

Anyway, enough waffle for now and onto my card for today.  My daughter asked me to make this card for her department to give to one of their colleagues who is leaving to have a baby.  She knows it's going to be a boy which is why I've made it on the blue tones.  Hope you like!

Hello peeps!

I've scheduled this post as Friday is going out with my Aunt day and I need to get a wriggle on first thing!  I don't know where we will end up today ... a full tank of petrol and we're on our way.

The fridge engineer came and went yesterday.  Something to do with the defroster in the freezer not working and stopping the airflow to the fridge.  A part has to be ordered so won't have the fridge for another week.  I remember when I was little that Mum never had a fridge at all, just a wee larder cupboard out on the landing.  How things have changed and we've become so dependent on modern technology.

Sorry I'm so late on the go tonight but I've had a busy day doing housework in the morning then I'd a couple of baby cards to make this afternoon.  I've been watching tv tonight and completely forgot that I hadn't posted anything ... blonde moment!!!  Is anyone else watching Broadchurch?  I still can't make up my mind about it, I just don't get where it's going, nowhere fast really!  Mind you I've got the knitting pins clicking away at the same time so maybe I've missed something along the way.

Grey and overcast today ... spring hasn't sprung after all! Into town for me today, I've a few things to do before we head off to the sun (hopefully!)  I was speaking to one of my friends in Spain the other day and they'd had rain, hail, thunder, lightening and, to cap it all, a tornado.  Wow I hope it's better by the end of the week!

I'm back with another card!  I've be busy in the craftroom this afternoon and made quite a few cards for various challenges and if I don't get them posted I'll miss them!

I spotted this image and co-ordinating sentiment on one of the blogs I follow and I just had to have them and make a card with them.  It's very hard to resist when something just jumps out and hits you between the eyes!

Sorry I'm a bit late on the go today.  It's been one of these days that nothing seemed to go as planned!  Not to worry, better late than never.

It's been another nice day here, dry and cold but I notice tonight on the forecast there's snow looming again.  I hope it stays away as Mr C and I are going to Inverness next week for 3 days and I don't want the weather to be bad then.  

Here's my card for the day.  I must enlist the help of my son and get these photos sorted out.  The colouring on the card is a lovely blue but it isn't showing up very well on the photo.  My son is a dab hand at photography so I've no doubt, when he has time, he'll give me some instruction!

I decided when I started crafting again I wasn't going to buy dies, punches etc that I was only going to use once or twice then they never see the light of day again so I scoured ebay the other day for die cuts and bought quite a few different ones.  At the moment it seems a better idea to me but you never know ...

I have left this card blank intentionally as it could be used for so many different occasions and I'll stamp whatever sentiment is appropriate when I need it.

Hi folks!

Brrr, its freezing cold this morning, snowing and blowing a hoolie ... winter's back with a vengeance.  Nowhere better than cozied up in the craftroom.

 I'm back in my old stomping ground of Ooh La La Creations today.  I got their latest CD Yesterdays Memories a while ago when couldn't summon up the enthusiasm to craft.  Anyway, at last, it's no longer a virgin CD!  I've interpreted the theme loosely so that I could use this fun image.  Well the kitten loves his sassy owner doesn't he!
