Suzy Bee DT - White on White

Hi all!

Well, Oban was an experience.  If it had been dry and warm it would have been lovely but we had wind, rain, hail, sleet, snow, thunder and lightening ... all in one day!  Thankfully we had taken our waterproof coats and hats with us so all in all it was OK.  There were plenty of cafes to duck in and out of!

On now to what I should have been doing before I left ... making this card for Suzy Bee!  I thought it was done as I'm a bit ahead of the challenges but for some reason this one got missed.  Anyway here it is now.

Frou Frou

Hello peeps!

Phew, what a busy day I had yesterday.  I took my car to the tyre place and while they were doing whatever they'd to do I popped into town, went to the bank and did a few bits of shopping.  After I picked up my car, and a pleasantly small bill, I met my cousin for lunch and we caught up with family stuff, put the world to rights then mulled over the impending referendum.  It was then back home to finish making my steak pie.  I'd cooked the meat before I went out in the morning but still had the pastry to do.  Tatties and veg were already prepared so I was ready with a hot chocolate when granddaughter came in from school!  Daughter then came in and the chatting began in earnest!  After they went home I spent the rest of the evening in my craft haven as, for me, the telly was rubbish!

Today I'm off out with my Aunt and I think we are heading for Crieff.  We haven't been there for a while so it'll be a wee change.  

Best go and get organised now or I'll be running late.

New Stuff

Morning!

I'm not saying 'good morning' cos it's not, its just a grey, wet and chilly day again.  Ooooh we are all getting so fed up of this aren't we.  One of these days we'll hopefully get some pleasant weather.  I read the headlines in one of the papers that we are to have a spring heatwave ... bring it on!

This is another card I made on Sunday with new stuff that fell through the letterbox!  You'd think the number of times the postie visits our house the dog would be used to him by now but no, she goes mental when he's at 'her' door but if she's out walking in the street and he's passing she doesn't bother two hoots.  She's a crazy one!   Anyway, the digi and the trellis die are both new and I think they work well together ... you may well see more of these designs. 

Mr C and I had a lovely lunch yesterday.  He had curried carrot soup and chicken pie and I had chicken pie and apple tart ... yum, yum, yum!  Today Mr C is off to the dentist and I'm pottering at home.  We've someone coming to see us at lunchtime as the bathroom is going to be getting a makeover.  We are getting rid of the bath as when my back is playing up I find it very difficult to get into it to have a shower as it's an over the bath one at the moment.  Only problem is that we'll need to start from scratch as the whole bathroom is tiled at the moment and they'll all need to come off so that means new walls and floor.

Still sitting in my pjs so I'd better get a wriggle on and get organised or the chap will be knocking at the door and I'll be embarrassed!

Good morning Everyone!

Well, it's not really a good morning as far as the weather goes.  It's absolutely tipping down with rain and there's the odd flake of snow mixed in.  Definitely a day for the craft room.  UPDATE : 1040 GMT it's now snowing!

I forgot to tell you the other day that I was at the hospital to get my hearing aid.  Wow, I'm hearing things that I haven't heard for ages and what a difference that makes.  I certainly proved its worth yesterday when I was out with my friend.  She has a very soft voice and I used to struggle to hear what she was saying but yesterday all was good.  It is so small and light I don't even feel I'm wearing it.  Maybe I should have done it ages ago but hey, ho, it's done now!

The pair of us ended up at Doune Antique Centre.  It's a fabulous place to spend an hour or two reminiscing over the stuff our parents' had (and thrown out) and of course there's a lovely restaurant there where we had lunch.

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world.  I'm going to have a lazy day today as I was busy every day last week and I'm needing a rest before I get back on my mad merry-go-round tomorrow again as I've another busy week ahead!

The challenge at Christmas Cards this week is one of my favs, a very clean and simple one layer card.  I really enjoy these kind of challenges as it stretches my imagination and I have to say, I'm very pleased how this one worked out.

Greetings!

There are a few challenges this week for a Thank You card so before I got onto the housework yesterday I made this card.  Hope you like it.

I was in bed by the back of 9 last night and didn't have too bad a sleep but still not 100% today.  I'm off into town with my friend as she wants to go to the library to buy (!) her Christmas cards.  Each year they have a lovely selection of charity cards and I've a few bits and pieces to do.  No doubt we'll manage to squeeze in lunch, or a cuppa at least!

Another lovely day in my little corner of the world.  I've been busy this morning doing housework.  Bedcovers changed, washed, dried and back onto the bed!  They didn't even need ironing, woopee!

Friendship

Morning one and all!

The sun is shining when I look out of one window and the sky is black as night from another ... who knows how it will end up!

I spent far too long at my desk yesterday and my back is giving me severe niggles today so I'm going to have to be a bit more active.  We are having the drive cleaned and the mono block resanded today so that will make the place look a bit tidier.  Considering it's about 15 years since we had it done it's not looking too bad though.

Unfortunately the distress inks don't show up particularly well on the photo but I have to say I'm pleased with the effect.

Another Baby

Hello folks!

Hope you are all well and the weather's not too bad where you are.  We are alternating between sun and heavy sleet showers today and it's a bitter wind out there ... when are we going to get decent weather?  Not to worry, I'm warm and dry in my crafty bubble!  You'll be fed up with baby cards but I think this might be one of the last.  I'm trying to make a pile of cards for the school fete but that's when Mr Mojo decides to go walkabout!  Thank goodness for Pinterest, I get lots of inspiration there.

Here's a piccie of the 5 cardis I sewed up yesterday.  I still need to get buttons for them but that's on my do to list for next time I'm in town.  As you can see the design on them all is this same, it's my fav and I don't even need to consult the pattern any more!

Must get a wriggle on and get into the kitchen to cook tea.
