Cards for Men DT - Anything Goes

Hi De Hi!

I'm scheduling this post as I'm off to Glasgow with my friend.  She is on the hunt for something to wear to a wedding at the end of next month and has had no luck so far so hopefully we might find 'the dress' today.  We'll have a good day out whatever the outcome ... and lunch of course!

I spent the day yesterday trying to finish off stuff for the craft fair I'm off to on Thursday evening.  I didn't realise how much was left to do, please can I have an extra 12 hours in my day from now till then!  I've nothing in the diary from tomorrow onwards to it will definitely be nose to the grindstone stuff.

It's a spooky challenge this fortnight at Cards for Men.  This one was really difficult for me as I don't do halloween.  It certainly is becoming more popular these days but certainly not when I had little ones in the house!  I quite like the card I've created as it's not too gruesome!

Morning!

I remembered to schedule this one!  Yesterday was another lovely day and, yes, the washing got dried out on the twirly and a crafty day was had.  I'm working hard to get stuff ready for the craft fair in December.  I can sit at night and do my crocheting/knitting while watching tv so I get the best of both worlds.  I quite enjoy the programs on Sunday night, Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and then Downton Abbey ... brilliant!

Cards for Men DT - String It Up

Morning my friends!

It was some day yesterday, heavy rain and strong winds.  It didn't quite work out to be the lazy day I'd hoped!  On Saturday night I thought I'd do a Tesco order to save me going out but when I got to the payment it wouldn't accept my card saying the details I'd entered were incorrect ... when I knew they were OK.  I phoned the bank yesterday morning and was put onto the fraud department (oooops I thought).  It transpires an online company I'd bought something from recently had their security compromised so they had stopped my card being used on the internet.  Thankfully I'm still able to use it for chip and pin (otherwise Mr C and I wouldn't have been eating this week!) and a new card is on its way to me.  It's good to know there are things in place to keep us safe.

Anyway I had to make a trip to Tesco and picked up my granddaughter on the way as she'd been at a sleepover last night.  We had a roll and cuppa first then she helped me with the shopping.  

Monday morning again and the start of a busy week so I'll be hopping off and on when I can.

Cards for Men DT - Funny Birthday

Hi!

I really did mean to look for Mr Mojo yesterday but, as always, things didn't quite turn out the way I thought!  

Mr C went away with daughter to look at cars.  She had a few on her list but had decided that if she liked the one first on the list she wasn't looking any further.  That happened so the pair of them, plus granddaughter came back and of course, on went the kettle and chatting took over!  

The challenge this fortnight at Cards for Men was more of a challenge for me than usual.  I'm getting better at male cards but funny really isn't something I tend to do on a card so the learning curve wasn't so much a curve but a vertical line!  I hope you like it and will pop along to the challenge and join in with us.

Fail, fail, fail ... Mr Mojo has decided he's not ready to settle down again and has left the country, not telling me and, worse still, he's left me behind!  Oh, woe is me ...

Daughter is looking for a car so she's off hunting with her Dad today.  I'm happy to leave the pair of them to it, they'll get on better on their own.  I might get some ironing done but, on the other hand, I might try to find Mr Mojo.

This is my second card for Cards for Men DT.  I wasn't getting Mr Mojo to work very well for this one and I have to confess I'm not too happy with it but try as I might it just wouldn't come together the way I'd have liked.  I'll be getting kicked off the DT before I've even got my feet under the table if Mr Mojo doesn't get back to normal!

Off to meet my daughter today for a root round the shops and some lunch.  She's back to work tomorrow so we're taking the chance while we can.
