One Layer

Hi everyone!
Sorry I didn't have time to blog yesterday but by the time I got home I was just wanting to put my feet up and chill.  My aunt and I had a lovely day in Stirling.  It's a great place to go when the weather's wet as you never need to be outside!  I even had my car valeted while we were shopping, such decadence!

I'd a fabulous day in Edinburgh with my friend.  When she met me off the train we headed straight to Harvey Nicks for a coffee and goodie, then a look round the shops.  Patisserie Valerie was where we had a snack at lunchtime and I'd the cheek to eat my tea when I got home!

I've been in Dundee today with my daughter.  We hadn't had time out together for ages so it was lovely to catch up.

Now, as always on Saturday I like to do the Less is More challenge.  I'm not too sure about this creation, seems very bland but I've followed the criteria!  It wasn't till I'd stamped it that I realised because the card is self patterned it shows up on the image but I actually quite like the effect.

I got interrupted there.  My neighbour just popped in with 12x100g balls of wool so you know what I'm going to be doing.  She told me earlier that she was going to be a grandma again so I'm knitting for the new baby.  There's only one of the 7 I was knitting for still to be born so it's nice to have more to do.  I love knitting baby things.

Anyway, enough waffling.  Here's my card for today and I'll be back tomorrow with my Sunday Christmas cards.

Enjoy your evening.
Hugs
Anne x

Quite the gad-about! Good for you Anne. Glad you enjoyed yourself. I find one layer cards difficult. I don't mind CAS but I always want to layer up. I like the image - I seem to have a thing for foliage images at the moment - and the colours looks good too. Christine x

Hi Ann, you make feel tired just reading all that you get up to, I would be on my knees. Glad you have had a good few days.

Your card is great and I am sure you have started the knitting already. Lol!!!

Hope you are enjoying the rest of your weekend.

Well you've had a bust few days Anne - and enjoyable by the sound of it. I love knitting baby clothes too - but will have to wait for grand grand kids now I think.
Love your card - I think the base card is a fab colour and the stamp used is lovely.

Sounds like you've been having fun Anne.. busy too!
Stamping on textured card can be tricky, but it has given a great effect here.
Sorry I'm a bit slow getting around to commenting this week but I've been on grandchildren duty since last Thursday!
Thanks so much
Chrissie
