Fav Five of 2012

Me again!  While still snuggled under the duvet this morning I was reading the blogs I follow and, lo and behold, I was chosen as the winner for Debby's Fav Five for Christmas!  Wow, how lucky is that when I'm starting crafting again.

Now, I'm in no way expecting to win again, but as Debby has challenged us to show our Fav Five for 2012 I just knew I had to take part.  Here are the cards I've chosen.

A Big Birthday

Hi Peeps!
Yesterday was my 'bus pass' birthday and what a wonderful day I had.  So many cards, birthday wishes and pressies I was overwhelmed.  In the evening 15 of us were out for a meal and we had a blast.  The food was delicious and the chat round the table great fun and we had a real laugh.  I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family.

My Five Fav Christmas Cards

The lovely Debby has challenged us to show our favourite five Christmas cards and is also offering some wonderful candy..  Now before I decided I was giving up crafting (which I'm starting again in the New Year!!!) I had already made all my Christmas cards.  Unfortunately none of my friends and family received one though as my daughter took them off to her workplace and sold them all!  Anyway, I digress, here are my fav five.

I liked this one because it's a change from the traditional red and green colourway

a different take on a Christmas piccie which I liked

I liked the design and simplicity of this one

this one isn't strictly a Christmas card but a Christmas Birthday ... do I get away with it?

just because I liked it!

Helloooooooo - it's me!!!

Hi everyone
A quick post to let you know that I'm still in the land of the living!  I've really enjoyed my break from crafting but am beginning to think I might start again in the New Year but certainly not to the same extent as I did before as I've sold all my stuff!!!  No regrets and I can always buy more if needs must. :)

I've been busy doing other crafty stuff.  The knitting pins have been red hot.  I've done lots of knitting for Christmas.  I've got piccies for you of a couple of dolls I've dressed.  It is impossible to get 'naked dolls' nowadays so I went to the car boot sale and picked these two up for £1 each.  Popped them through the wash and hey presto, as good as new.  I also knitted a pair of wrist warmers for my daughter.  She's broken the same wrist 3 times and when it's cold and frosty it aches so I thought they'd be good for her as she can even wear them while at work as her fingers are free.  I've now knitted so many pairs of them I've lost count.  I don't even need the pattern any more as it's committed to memory.

All the parcels are wrapped and I've just got some baking to do.  We are going to spend Christmas with our son and DIL so I've no cooking to do (yippee) and we are going to my cousin's for NY so again, no cooking to do (double yippee).

I hope you are all well and getting organised for the festivities.

Keep warm and safe.
Hugs
