Funny!

Hi! I'm here again with my card for the Christmas Card Club.  The theme this fortnight was chosen by Sue and she's asked us to make a humorous card.

I'm about to go and rescue my washing.  I hung bedding out about an hour ago and there was blue sky, sunshine and a fine wind ... now it's raining ... grrrrrrrrrrr!

Blue Santa

Another Sunday and today I've got a card for the fortnightly Christmas Card Club.  It was the turn of Chris to choose the theme and she decided on Blue Santa.  Unfortunately the picture I chose doesn't show up too well on the computer but I can assure you that Santa is dressed in blue ... honest!

My card for Sundays with Santa is still in my head but hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to get it done so I don't fall behind again.  I'm am behind with my DT card for the Cupcake Craftroom though, I'd better watch out or I'll be getting the sack!

Mr C and I had a wonderful time at the BBQ yesterday.  There were one or two little showers but between a couple of gazeboes and the conservatory we all managed to keep dry.  There was lots of fabby food, burgers, sausages, chicken and steaks came off the barbie and there was also a table laden with every type of salad you could think of.  For afters there was fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries with meringue, ice cream and cream or there was trifle.  Very enjoyable and because it was the weekend - no calories!

Hope you've all had a great day.  I'm just off to bed shortly as it was a late night last night and I'm up early in the morning as I've to go for a hearing test.  Will keep you posted on that one!

Hugs

Ribbon Tree

Morning folks!  It's time for Christmas Card Club today so that's another fortnight sped past.  It was my turn to choose the theme for today's challenge so of course I chose Clean & Simple.  I love this style and hope I've done it justice with this card.

If you would like to join our select group of ladies who like to get ahead with their Christmas cards, please get in touch with any of us on the list on my sidebar, you'd be most welcome.

Merry Christmas

Morning all!  It's Sunday again and time for another challenge at the Christmas Card Club.  Lorraine has set the task this week and we have to use a sentiment as the main focal point on the card.  As I was a numpty and made the wrong card in the first instance this one was a real quickie and it's turned out better than I expected!

Teddy Hugs

Morning one and all!  After all the upheaval this week I hadn't even thought about the challenge for the Christmas Card Club today so I got up bright and early and here's my creation.  The theme this week is Aperture and was chosen by Zoe.

More tidying up to get on with today and I might even get the iron out.  Our pooch has been at our daughter's all week so Mr C is going to collect her later today and our home will be complete again.

Hope you have a lovely Sunday

A Meeting of Christmas Blogs

Hi! Another busy week but I've managed to catch up with blogging friends and make a couple of cards.  This is just a quick post as I'm off to the SECC in Glasgow with a couple of friends to see Dancing on Ice.  We're going to the afternoon show (cos we're not allowed out when it's dark o'clock) so are having lunch beforehand.  Mr C, our daughter, SIL & granddaughter are off to see our son and DIL.  They had a pool table delivered the other day and it's too heavy for the pair of them to carry downstairs to the games room so extra hands are needed, it's all go!

Hope you have a lovely Sunday.
Hugs

catch up

Hi peeps!  Last week was totally manic, I was doing something every day and didn't have time for crafting, blogging or commenting so a big sorry to all.  Hopefully this week will be quieter although, somehow, I doubt it!

I visited my aunt on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as my cousin was away on holiday.  It's never a chore to visit her as she's full of beans and always ready to go out in the car with lunch or a cuppa somewhere along the line!  At 83 she's marvellous as she's always in pain and seems to have every illness under the sun.  Tuesday I met a friend from Spain, Thursday was class then lunch with a friend, Saturday my friend and I went to Edinburgh to the Sincerely-Yours craft fair and finally on Sunday I caught up with Mr C and we went shopping for tiles and flooring ... woopee I hear you say!  We are having a new kitchen installed next month and we needed to get wood for the floor and find tiles we both liked as we're having the whole kitchen tiled this time so there'll be no more faffing about with wallpaper.

I HAVE to get working today as I'm ashamed of the house.  I still haven't tackled the ironing mountain so some of that's on the agenda today as well.

Lastly I've a couple of Christmas challenges to share with you.  They were actually due yesterday but, well you know why I'm late.  I did contemplate not bothering with them this week but that's the slippery slope and I promised myself I'd have a box of Christmas cards ready and waiting for the big day.

Have a good day whatever you're doing and I will catch up with you all again soon.
Hugs

These cards are for the Christmas Card Club challenge.  The theme, chosen by Clare, is Anything But A Card, so I've made a set of cards!  The Christmas Card Club is a group of crafters who want to be organised by the end of the year.  We make a card every fortnight and if you'd like to join in all the names are on my sidebar.

Another Christmas card today.  Seems that's what happens on my blog on a Sunday!  Sally has set the theme of Winter Sport for the gang at the Christmas Card Club.  We are a happy little group of ladies who want to be organised when it comes to the beginning of December, let's hope we keep it up!

Ooops

Hi, sorry I'm so late today.  Yesterday turned out to be a bit of a disaster.  Mr C and Son got the tree chopped up and loaded what we could into my car.  We stayed with them for a while and had a chat and a cuppa then when it was time to go I jumped (!) into the car, switched it on and the onboard computer said STOP - brake failure.  It sure was correct as the brakes were doing nothing and the steering wheel was locked.  Back to the house and phoned the recovery people.  Without going into details, as I'm still seething, they were less than useless and the outcome of the whole scenario is my car is still sitting in my Son & DIL's drive and tomorrow we will have to get the local garage to go and tow it away and see what's wrong with it.  Grrr...

I was meaning to get my cards for today done last night but by the time all the shenanigans over the car were done we had to get a run home from Son and it was almost 10.30 by the time we got home so, as you can imagine, I was in no mood for making cards - straight to bed with my book!

Today I was going to get the cards done in the afternoon but, I have to confess, I got a better offer - an afternoon out with my cousins and Aunt.  I'm just going to post these cards then off to bed again, I've a great book at the moment and can't wait to find out what's happening next.
Hugs
Anne

Snowflake

Hi!  I'm really loving getting my Christmas cards started so early, I just hope I can keep the momentum going until I have all I need.  It's great when December comes and all you've to think about is writing your cards and not being in a panic about making them.  This one is for the Christmas Card Club and the theme of Snowflakes was set by Sylvie.

Hugs
Anne
