Special Friend

Hi!  What a beautiful morning it is here.  Everywhere is white and sparkly with frost but the sun is shining and it's warm in the craft room!  Mr C has been in bed since Sunday with a fluey kind of thing but is feeling a bit better today.  He really must be feeling awful as he is NEVER off work, thankfully.  I'm having another day in the craft room as I've several birthday cards to do for March and as we are away then I'll need to get organised.  The card this friend is for is the one I go on most of my jaunts with.  She is soon off to America for 6 weeks and is spending her birthday this year at Florida Keys.  Her card is made but I don't have a pressie yet ... I'm doing that tomorrow but need inspiration!

An early post as I'm off with my friend to Southfield Stationers to buy some card and crafty supplies.  There's a huge Dobbies near to it so I've no doubt we'll pop in there and partake of some lunch!!!

My granddaughter got on fine at the dentist yesterday.  Four injections and two extractions but she was a star.  It's a lady dentist she has and she thinks she's the bees knees so that makes it easier for her.  I got a text from my daughter about 8 o'clock to say my granddaughter was in bed, sound asleep.  She's not been that early since she was about 6 so it must have taken its toll, bless.  Only thing is, we've to go through it again next week ... aaaah.

I got the idea for this card from one of my fav bloggers Jacqui of The Cats Whiskers.  Thank you once again from your inspiration Jacqui and while I don't profess to be anywhere as talented as you, I'm quite pleased the way this card turned out.  This one will have to be for someone special this Easter.

I may not be around very much over the next couple of weeks as my granddaughter is coming to stay as it's school holidays again.  We hope to go to the cinema to see Hop, go to the Science Museum and have a day shopping in Glasgow.  My poor wee legs will be worn down to the knees.
