Ooops

Hi, sorry I'm so late today.  Yesterday turned out to be a bit of a disaster.  Mr C and Son got the tree chopped up and loaded what we could into my car.  We stayed with them for a while and had a chat and a cuppa then when it was time to go I jumped (!) into the car, switched it on and the onboard computer said STOP - brake failure.  It sure was correct as the brakes were doing nothing and the steering wheel was locked.  Back to the house and phoned the recovery people.  Without going into details, as I'm still seething, they were less than useless and the outcome of the whole scenario is my car is still sitting in my Son & DIL's drive and tomorrow we will have to get the local garage to go and tow it away and see what's wrong with it.  Grrr...

I was meaning to get my cards for today done last night but by the time all the shenanigans over the car were done we had to get a run home from Son and it was almost 10.30 by the time we got home so, as you can imagine, I was in no mood for making cards - straight to bed with my book!

Today I was going to get the cards done in the afternoon but, I have to confess, I got a better offer - an afternoon out with my cousins and Aunt.  I'm just going to post these cards then off to bed again, I've a great book at the moment and can't wait to find out what's happening next.
Hugs
Anne

This second card is for Sunday with Santa on FB and the challenge this week was Polka Dots

Sorry I've no idea where these things came from as they've been in my Christmas bit box for ages.  Do you see my halo shining, I'm using OLD stash!

Hi Anne. I am so sorry darlin you had a rotten day yesterday. I so hope the car gets sorted tomorrow. I was getting worried about you hun as you are usually one of the first girls to get your card up. Hope you didn't feel pressurised into getting your card done for today though lovey. I only just got mine done and I know not everyone can get it done on a Sunday so don't stress. Anyway, I love your cards. I reckon every one of us have done a different take on the challenge which is great!!!. I was kind of dreading the challenge too but everyone has done so well, never realised all of the different shapes and sizes we could come up with lol. Ok I will let you get back to your good book. Big hugs Clare xxx

Oh flip me that was rotten bad luck Anne, I would have felt the exact same as you!! Hope they get your car sorted and its not too expensive:( Your cards are lovely. Think we all struggled with the double fold business but at least we got another, or in your case 2 more cards done lol. Enjoy your day out.

Oh Anne what a time you've had with your car. Hope it's sorted soonest. Well done for getting your cards posted which are both fab. Your CCC card reminds me that one of my team made a similar shape recently and now I really must try this. Zx

Nothing worse than car trouble - I think the more technical they get, the more likely they are to go wrong! *hugs* (my car broke down when it was only 6 months old & the recovery man said he didn't have the right computer with him so couldn't work out what was wrong with it!!!! Luckily it was under warranty so didn't cost anything) Hope you enjoyed your day out & brownie points for using old stash & coming up with new masterpieces ;) x
