BP - I was having a rummage in one of my cupboards and came across a pile of 6x6 paper about 12 inches high and these papers were part of it.  Unfortunately I've had them for a long time, obviously before I started blogging in earnest, as I've no idea of the makers etc!  Sorry :(

I've paper pieced the umbrella and coat to match the papers used.  What colouring was left was done using #905, #969 Tombow and #60, #67 Marvy

Wow, I just couldn't believe it when I got an email from Katie saying that I'd been chosen to be part of the new design team at Cooking It Up with Katie.  To say I was over the moon is an understatement and it's been very, very difficult keeping it to myself until announcement day!  The big day is now here and I can shout it from the rooftops along with showcasing my first DT card.

Oh I so love the clean simple look, I think that's my forte and the sketch from Clean & Simple came just at the right time.  My friend asked me to make a wedding acceptance card for her and I was struggling to think of a design.  I also hope it will be accepted at Die Cut Dreams as it is a new beginning, well, the announcement of a new beginning - have I convinced the DCD team?  Hugs x

For the main flower I sized 1 x 4", 1 x 3.5", 1 x 3".  After cutting them out I colour washed them using #107 by Marvy and ran each one through the bug using Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I then crumpled them up, straightened them out a bit and stuck one on top of the other.  I saw this technique on another blog (unfortunately I can't remember which one though) and have used it a few times, I love the effect.  The flower centre was glittered using Crystal Stickles.

I have to say a big thank you to Edna for the inspiration for this card.  I'm sorry the photo isn't all that great as there's a shadow over the top right flower which makes it look blue but I can assure you the whole card is white irl.  I didn't have time to do the photo again as this was a rush order and I'd to deliver it this afternoon - no pressure!  It just seems to have been a manic couple of days and tomorrow looks as if it could be as bad but I do hope to sit down at my desk and do some serious crafting.

This is the new CD just released by Ooh La La Creations and I have to say I think it's one of their best so far.  It features the artwork of Lorna Archer and is a wonderful collection of watercolors which includes villages, bridges, farm houses, French chateau, castles, boats and rivers from many of the places that Lorna has visited in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France.
