BBQ

Morning everyone!  Mr C and I are off for a weekend with his cousins and are hopefully having a BBQ tonight.  Luckily where we are going is on a farm so if push comes to shove, we can have the BBQ in the barn. One good thing though, it's not cold.

I have a load of freebie collections from magazines so here are a couple of cards I've made with one of them.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend and keep dry and safe.
Big hugs
Anne xx

All elements for these cards came from a magazine freebie by Pink Gems called Slugs and Snails

Baby Baby

Hi peeps!  Hope the weather's not too bad where you are.  I can't believe how much rain has fallen over the past few days.  Now that the children are off school it's typical summer holiday weather.

I've had the afternoon to myself as Mr C has gone to get his hair cut, my daughter is working and my granddaughter is at her friend's house.  My BFFL asked if I would make a card for her daughter to give a friend who has just had a baby.  Normally my friend would come and we would craft together but unfortunately at the moment there just isn't room!  Hope you like it.

Hugs

OLL - DT

Morning!  It's Monday and time for another Ooh La La Creations challenge.  This time the theme is Mystical Magic.  I managed to get this card done yesterday when I was having some crafty 'me' time!

OLL is launching a new CD called Everyday Occasions featuring the artwork of Shelly Rasche and has birthday, baby, christmas and wedding themes to name but a few.  There are 53 different sets all containing backing papers, toppers, coordinating inserts and decoupage.  In total there are over 800 sheets to print.

The CD will be featured on Create and Craft on Friday 6 July at 10am with another show at 1pm.

Now, on to the card I've made for this challenge.  I created it using Paint.net which I've wanted to play around with for a while, what do you think, honestly!

Off now to get out of my pjs!  Hope you have a good day and I'll catch up again soon.
Hugs

Playing Catch Up

Hi folks. I'm not a very good blogger just now as I'm struggling with time and space!  I've got the afternoon to myself as Mr C is working, my daughter is shopping then meeting a friend for tea and my granddaughter is with friends for the day.  The girls will be home soon though so peace will no longer reign!

I thought I'd play catch up today as I haven't done my card for Sundays with Santa for the last three weeks.  Here are my creations.

Hope you are all well.  I do try to look at everyone's blogs during the week but don't always have time to comment, sorry :(

Hugs

Ribbon Tree

Morning folks!  It's time for Christmas Card Club today so that's another fortnight sped past.  It was my turn to choose the theme for today's challenge so of course I chose Clean & Simple.  I love this style and hope I've done it justice with this card.

If you would like to join our select group of ladies who like to get ahead with their Christmas cards, please get in touch with any of us on the list on my sidebar, you'd be most welcome.

Hugs

GJWTHF

Hi folks!  I've been AWOL recently, things are a bit hectic at home with one thing and another but today was a 'me' day with the Girls Just Want to Have Fun ladies.  I was so lucky that for their last ever workshop they decided to come to my home town of Perth.  I've had it booked since April and was so looking forward to it.

I can assure you, they didn't disappoint.  I had a brilliant day learning things I'd never tackled before and finding out just how simple it is once you're shown how.  A huge thank you goes to Kath, Debbi and Anne for their patience, hard work and brilliant instruction.

Mr C and I are off to Chester on Monday till Friday, fingers crossed for dry weather.  Hopefully after that I might get back to the craftroom and creating once again.

Hugs

This was a fabulous project taught by Kath.  The stamps and inks were Tim Holtz along with other lovely glittery things provided by Kath.  It was quite easy to do, just a case of doing it in the right order!  I bought another two packs to make a couple of Christmas pressies, hopefully!

Debbi taught this project of altering a notebook.  The stamps were fabulous and were a mix of Hero Arts, Kanban and La Blanche. Again we got to play with Distress and Alcohol Inks - oh what a mess but great fun and I'm absolutely delighted with the result.  It really all came together in the end.

This was the last project I did and it was Anne who took this part of the workshop.  I'm not sure what you call this type of work but we started off with a polystyrene dummy and used a napkin and glue.  The end result looks like fabric - brilliant.  Lots of lovely stamps again and another brilliant finished product.

Guest Designer Spot

Morning peeps!  I caught their eye at Top Tip Tuesday and was asked if I would like to be their Guest Designer for this coming fortnight ... would I ... of course I would!  What an honour.

For this challenge TTT is being sponsored by

and

with the theme being Sparkles Galore

I was lucky enough to be allowed to choose a digi image from Stamp Fairy.  It took me ages to browse around the Stamp Fairy shop as there are so many wonderful digis and it was really, really hard to make a decision but in the end I chose Molly Balloons 4, isn't she really cute.

Skiing Snowman

Hi, me again!  Two posts today, this one being for Sundays with Santa on Facebook.  Our theme this week is Sport so my little snowman is skiing his way downhill.

I was really lucky recently when Ellison had a sale which included Sizzix embossing folders.  I've seen the criss cross one on Debby's blog and she said it was discontinued (rats, I thought) so I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it in the sale!  Wow, my fingers were red hot ordering it before it was out of stock!!!  As always, something else had to fall into the basket and it was the other embossing folder I've used on this card.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the Jubilee weekend.
Hugs

PS - apologies for poor picture quality, can never get white card to look right and I had to use my home made light box which obviously isn't working too well!

Merry Christmas

Morning all!  It's Sunday again and time for another challenge at the Christmas Card Club.  Lorraine has set the task this week and we have to use a sentiment as the main focal point on the card.  As I was a numpty and made the wrong card in the first instance this one was a real quickie and it's turned out better than I expected!
